Something from an Amazon seller that a friend bought me but it was damaged I hope I can return it for a replacement.

Of course you can mate, and if the seller gives you any hassle, Amazon will sort it for you even if it means giving you a refund.

Good to know cause my New York Undercover Cop still hasn't arrived... ordered before Christmas. Will wait a little longer, though.

Cheers. I contacted the seller and let them know the item was damaged (badly torn outer case).

Badly torn case?, ffs i thought the disc was damaged. A wee rip makes what difference? Prob RM that damaged it in transit, the dirty rotten C**NTS!!

Considering its a cardboard outer case (that held the DVD thinpacks), it was torn quite badly IMO.
Casino Royale (AU BD).
Tried to remove the "PS3" sticker but it left residue over the plastic - so to Amazon I go to order replacement BD cases.
The actual art was fine though as far as I can see.

Evil Dead 2 is uncut on BD right? I presume the certificate was downgraded.

The BD isn't very good and no Grim that's not a wind up.

Better than the DVD though surely?
I heard Evil Dead 1 BD is very good.

Evil Dead 2 is worse than the dvd, by a mile. Total and utter noise reduced garbage, the dvd has more detail and grain! one of those discs that someone needs killing for doing.

Evil Dead 1 is stunning looking.

Most reviews I've read have said its not amazing by any means (it was low budget after all) but worse than the DVDs? You sure? Some parts look better than others, the transfer has been getting marks of 2 or 3/5.

Most reviewers do not know what they are talking about that why. YES it is worse, depending on what DVD you have mind you the old Region 1 edition is the best, the re-release was shit which the Blu Ray transfer is taken from (and which many inept reviewers will be comparing the HD to).
Any reviewer giving the disc 2 or 3 is blind and should pack in their job right now, as they don't have a clue at all.

There is a brilliant article/thread somewhere showing you how bad it is compared to the other versions on standard dvd, cannot find it at mo as PC stuffed.

About Blu-Ray reviews...

Just recently spannic (who works for a dvd/bd company in Germany) explained at another board that they release lots of upscales because it's good business.

it's very easy to fool common folks with upscales, we do that too - and the upscales often get BETTER picture Grades than the Real HD Blurays we release among them... go figure
