I love shit like that. It reminds me of the days when RCE came out and many Toshiba players wouldn't play them but pressing a few buttons bypassed the RCE protection.
Does this loophole work on any of your other Region Locked discs? I wonder if it works on all BD Players or just the PS3? The UK BD sucks!
Salty: Can you please confirm the BD Final Cut has both DD5.1 and TrueHD? Thanks

In short:
The UK HD-DVD has DTS-HD Master Audio but is barebones. The USA HD-DVD has TrueHD (plus DD Plus) instead and the extras missing from the UK HD-DVD. According to the High Def. Digit review the Picture Quality is the same, maybe it's a port?
The same review says the Making Of. is 28 minutes when in fact it's closer to 40 minutes, as the DVD Town review points out.

it says so on the box-dd true hd, dd 5.1 and french 5.1. i'll put the disc in later when i get a chance and confirm the packaging is telling the truth.

i tried it on Rush Hour 2 and it didn't work, however it worked on Rush Hour disc 2.

Well, my Blade Runner has finally arrived. I will check shortly to see if I have a duplicate disc or not, I'm scared lol

My disc 5 is the Workprint. It also has a fingerprint on it and some minor scratches. I can see what's happened here, when they found out about the duplicate discs, they will have gone through and replaced the 5th discs in them - putting their grubby mits over our discs! Ah well.

Thanks. Many reviews say it's mentioned but isn't present. That said it seems this is only the case with UK copies or at least UK Review copies. All USA reviews mention both.
Mine arrived today too. I'm in love
. I'm sooo tempted to get the Sammy Combo as the idea of waiting until May to see Blade Runner: FC is just awful.
My disc 1 had finger marks but none of the rest do. Disc 1 isn't anything extreme and certainly not enough to return it.

I watched Blade Runner: The Final Cut with my mate earlier, it was really good. What a good-looking film! I will tackle some of the special features later methinks

Blu-ray region coding hit me for the first time today- saw NEXT blu-ray (used) in a local shop for £6 and thought i'll buy that,watch and probably trade it on-then i realised it was an EIV locked region B release
i could i suppose have watched in my son's room but i couldn't be bothered.

Saw IV blu-ray is region locked A. seems like War being region free was a mistake on lionsgate's part.

That BBC news is for America where Warner don't distribute their own discs. I've no idea what BBC support in the UK.
