Re. Halloween II:
See artwork - Probably the only time Charles Cyphers has gotten his name above the title... lol
Decent, if unremarkable follow up. Critics were harsh on this at the time, but I don't think it's much below the original.
Re. Halloween III:
An interesting, if formulaic riff on the Body Snatchers theme, but they should've stuck with the original Season of the Witch title lest anyone think this is part of the extended Michael Myers series.
Re. They Live:
I know this has a cult following.... but I always found it to be one of Carpenter's most underwhelming films. A good premise unfulfilled.
They should have had the balls to let Nigel Kneale do his thing with Halloween 3 and stand by his ideas, but in typical hollywood fashion they hired an intelligent, unique writer then became shocked when he didn't deliver lurid exploitation conforming to formulaic tropes.
There is a funny story about that art on the cover.
The Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter got banned in Finland because it featured artwork from the same artist. The artist is called Ralph Steadman. Hopefully the fucker that's responsible for this idiotic decision gets a horrible form of cancer and dies a long and painful death.
