Do you think they got enuff time? seems its your area?
in fact they got heavy sentences compared to the usual murders we see, esspecially the ones on the news which get covered to death and then dont get punished enuff.

I called you naive because you clearly don't understand the vast differences that the term "drug dealer" can encompass. You talk as if every Drug Dealer in the world is a Columbian warlord making sure cocaine and heroin is flooding the market, when in fact the vast majority are dealers are just small time dope and clubbing tablets peddlers who operate amongst close knit groups of friends.
But yes, you're right, we should gather them all up and blow their brains out, that's the fair thing to do!

Thats alright then

scummy smalltime sellers break the law, its ok for them to do so, and let them off

then the people they sell em to (and the dealers) can go drive a car on drugs and kill someone.
If it happened to someone you knew, you wouldnt be talking like that.

Shingster didn't say that, or that these guys aren't "bad", but that you shouldn't tar "dealers" with the same brush Romero.

A dealers a dealer, they supply stuff and infect people, small quantaties or massive amounts, its the same thing in the end. It takes one tablet or rap to kill someone (in many ways), stuff how much they sell.
We will all have to agree to disagree, and hope nothing happens to people you know.
It already has a few times with people I knew, so too late there.

lol romero, you reach new levels of idiocy with every post you make in this thread! I was merely pointing out the stunningly obvious fact that not all drug dealers are death peddlers, and they shouldn't all recieve the same form of punishment that you seem to want to dole out (ie death by drwning by the sounds of it). Small time dealers make up 90% of the total dealers in this country and they only deserve a lower sentence, not life imprisonment.
Thank fuck you aren't a lawyer, I'm having a laugh just thinking about you going on jury duty!

OK, just not sure I agree with your Draconian laws Romero.

I didnt say ALL drug dealers need shooting in the face anyway.
and yes ALL drug dealers are death peddlers, take any drug at all and its a hand of death to someone under the right circumstances, to the idiot taking it or to some innocent took out by thet idiot on drugs.

Ok so all Bartenders are death peddlers, all Newsagents are death peddlers. TBH your immense idiocy rather than a drug dealer is more likely to drive the people around you to take "drugs" (ie a stiff drink) just to escape your inane rants!

Who cares if a drugsdealer gets shot in the face? No matter how big or small he is. The guy (or girl) is an idiot, making money of another man's weakness, and endangering not only the buyer, but alot of the time junkies need money to get their drugs, so drugs are a cause of many other kinds of crime, like robberies, burglaries, etc etc... not too mention the shit that people cause that are on drugs and are high and annoyed...
I agree btw that alcohol is potentially as dangerous as drugs for the user, but since it's legal and readily available, people dont have to steal to be able to buy it...
Anyway, like I said, drugdealers are scumm, and I wouldnt give a rat's ass if they get shot, or electrocuted, or whatever. Just dont waste taxdollars on that scumm by throwing them in prison for a long time... if you ARE gonna punish them, make them pay and make them usefull to society by working on roads or license-plates or shit like that...

I think the sentences for the two main culprits seem about right - 18 or 20 years minimum. Especially as neither showed any signs of remorse - one even gave the finger in court after his sentence was delivered.
I just hope their time in prison is hell.

All illegal drugs have the potential to kill or cause serious harm. Just because alcohol is a major problem in the UK doesn't make drugs any less so. Quantity and class should play a factor in determining sentence, but make no mistake, the street corner H-peddler can provide as much misery to an individual as a merecedes-driving Colombian shipping crates of Cocaine. And if the death penalty for drug dealers seems extreme, it's worth bearing in mind the misery these people cause. That said, the majority of users aren't forced into a habit, and usually start off thinking they're clever by smoking a bit o' weed. For some it stays that way... but evidence shows that far too many end up on a downward spiral into depression, hard drugs, crime, prostitution and ultimately death.

You don't think that's lenient? In 20 years they'll still have a life on the outside. What about the victim? What about the victim's family? It still amazes me what a soft society we have on crime.

Romero how is little crimes and big crimes getting the same punishment fair? Draco said "Yes its unfair. Little crimes and big crimes get the same punishment. If only I could think of a punishment worse than death for the serious ones"
If all punishments were the same, so a guy would get the same harsh punishment for peddling dope as would a heroin dealer, oall that would happen is the people who formerly sold dope would just move onto heroin, the risk would be the same, the profit would be better

Crazy.

No remorse and the finger! and they didnt get more? crikey what do you have to do to get Life then! thats pretty suprising, unless their hands are tied and the law wont let them punish them anymore.
Still at least they are off the streets, but sadly those kind of people will probibly relish prison life as sadly prisons while all I guess are evil places, they do get wayyy to much good treatment and nice rooms full of goodies.
Our local prison (which I pass everyday after work on foot) is such a place, they house the real scum of the scum, the famous killers and newsworthy ones and get some really nice rooms with all the modern equipment they want.
and Grim I didnt say all deserve death, but all punishment for drugs at the moment is so soft there is no punishment for most of them. I know my friends at college way back delt a lot for students and made a fair bit of cash every week selling say 50 E's over a wekeend and a fair bit of the funky cigs, some were caught and some were not, but not one of them cared about the punishment as hell they mostly got a slap on the wrists, and they just went back to peddling "small" quantaties.
Now its even worse as the cops dont even care about most softer drugs, they say they do on TV when it comes to driving and on drugs (esspecially in the north east latley), but I know a few cops and they say they couldnt give a shit at all and wont ever book anyone. The only time they will book anyone is when they are told to by the bosses once every while to make up the figures at the end of the month etc..
Remember some people may only sell a few things to friends, but where did they come from? who had them before them, and who before them? they go back to scumbag gansters in the end and the frienedly peddlers really are just feeding the Big time scumbags who make their fortunes and kill to keep it.

Probably best for Debate as AFAIK it has nothing much to do with the original topic and is best suited for debated anyway.
