Yeah, the Russians weren't "the good guys" it's just that Hitler turned on them. That was his fatal mistake in Europe.

Well.. I thought the germans and the russians had a deal to not attack eachother or something. So the russians just stayed out of it all and minded their own business, untill ofcourse Germany came too close or pulled some stupid shit or whatever.

Same thing with the USA, as the USA wanted to mind their own business, then got dragged into it anyway.

Hell if the Germans has went slower, they would rule the world now :D take out 1 country at a time, not half the world :D at least if they do it again, they know to take on less countries.

Well, the germans didnt expect they english and french would declare war on them once they invaded Poland. But The Englas and the French has said they would, so they did. (although the war was declared before the winter, they waited to spring to actually launch an attack).

The Soviet-union and germany had a treaty to not attack eachother, and not get into eachother's business. They had even agree to 'share' poland. But in 1941 I believe, the germans launched an attack on the soviet union, which was pretty succesfull at first, but later, obviously (with the aid of the russian winters), turned to the soviet's favour.

Pretty dumb by Hitler, but hey ... he was a megalomanian fuckhead, so it was to be expected.

Yeah, it was a promise to Poland/ultimatum to Germany, basically "if Germany invades, then Britain and France will help"
