I don't think women are materialist but they do value a man being the provider, way more than a man ever does. Being rich often brings some form of power and independence.

Women are like monkeys... they fall off one branch and cling to another. Money and security outweighs any personal attribute. A man couldn't care less if a woman he's attracted to has money or power - or even a job.

Besides you're missing the point, it's not the money or power as such but the fact men are there to look after women. That's a mentality that is A: Human nature and B: Has been ingrained into people for thousands of years. Money and power brings security, which is a turn on for almost all women.

I remember Yi-Long had the same short sided views about women too.

Never said it wasn't shallow to pick purely on looks. I said it's LESS shallow - but still shallow. Looks alone shouldn't be the basis of a relationship and I wouldn't stay in a relationship myself with a girl if she was only about the looks.

That's an incredibely flimsy point of view. A man's independence and strength (I don't mean physical) is as part of a man as a women's looks are. It's those that women find attractive, money is just the catalyst.

Wanting a relationship with someone who can look after you financially and give you a secure, comfortable lifestyle is far, far less shallow that wanting to fuck someone because they look good, or because they've got a nice rack!
