Grrr it annoys me CD WOW putting the prices down after the DVD/CD is released. Sometimes it works by pre-ordering but others you end up paying more.

It should be always be cheaper if you preorder :shock:

I could then send it back and get the HD-DVD Combo if I liked it (all bar Signs of his previous work is good). Which used to be nice and easy but it's now a pain as you need to send them back to Cyprus.

I'd recommend e-mailing CD WOW to check. This better be the Original (aka: also the version the UK got) not USA cut, which is 1 minute shorter "I think".

Personally I'm waiting for the extended cut which Ronny Yu (in a link over in Asian provided by LD) has confirmed it coming, it should be early next year.

I'd like to see the extra scenes -- but isn't the film long enough?

I enjoyed it as is and am worried it will become bloated with an extra 40 mins.

Too many movies are overlong these days.

I watched an old gangster drama from the 30's and it was 80m (NTSC!) Yet not an ounce of fat or waste. Directors take note.

it works out at £17 on the dvdoo website,if this has english subs it's a terrific bargain at £1.99 after vouchers i personally have the hd combo dvd on the way .

Which considering that uses Seamless Branching is the best DVD version out there.

That DVDoo price is pricey but as for the company they're very good. I've used them 2-3 times; Scandinavia has some excellent Asian Film DVDs with English subs for example.

I couldn't agree more but the Original HK Cut isn't going anywhere so if I find it too long then I'll just get that.

Plus I really want to see the cut Yeoh footage.

Me too, but the director does clearly say it's coming. I'm happy to wait until the new year.

I've already got a good quality Original HK Cut DVD.

I didn't know that.

I've only bought "Sword in the Moon" which isn't. "Resurrection Of The Little Match Girl" is the only English subtitled version worldwide.

Some are definitely awful in either 4:3 or non-anamorphic state.
