Holy shit! Look how cheap the the R3K complete boxset of Cowboy Bebop is - $43.99USD!

Fuck me getting the the R1's Remix editions, this is so cheap. I can live without 5.1 remixes and commentaries.

I thought it was also from the French Master, my bad. Isn't Disc 1 from a different master than Disc 2?

There's very little in it except the original DVD is a bit redder (I'm not paying much attention to the German DVD). I can't see all the apparent EE.

Cheers for the list. As for Gladiator that's a quality release at a good price, personally I sold my UK R2 and got the R1 cheap off eBay (new it's a rip off at about £16).

Both cuts have their merits.

Highly likely, but who gives a flying fuck? The US TC is garbage.

Why did you bother? I thought that you owned the original 2001 2-discer w/ DTS? Owning the R2 EE without the TC seamlessly branched would be fine in my books, as I would always opt to watch the TC via the original 2-discer for the DTS track anyway. Fuck watching the TC in Dumby Stereo 5.1.

I thought you'd have checked. Agreed it's not a patch.
EvaUnit02 wrote:Why did you bother?
Because I want both cuts and see little point owning two DVDs when I don't need to.
EvaUnit02 wrote:I thought that you owned the original 2001 2-discer w/ DTS?
I used to but sold it on eBay for a whopping £7.50. Sure the DTS is good but it's not enough reason IMO to own it twice.

Overall the EC has the edge IMO, not by much but the edge.
EvaUnit02 wrote:Fuck watching the TC in Dumby Stereo 5.1.
Stereo??? Nah it's not good "enough" to own the film twice.

Sideways rocks, but Garden State is a over-rated. It's fairly refreshing for a Hollywood film but goes downhill rapidly in the 3rd act where it falls into rom-com genre cliches.

The R3K Shaolin Soccer 3-disc UE is coming back into print at the low low price of $6.97 USD. Features the DC with a DTS track and the hack-job international cut on separate discs.

The only other viable option is the R2UK Optimum release, the R1 is garbage.

Oh nevermind, Optimum unleashes it's bowels onto it from great heights. It also uses the HK master - minus all the integrated branching crap to get the DC.

The UK DVD is the best, check out that DVD Beaver comparison as Eva shows it also has the Extended cut too. All you lose is DTS.

This is even with both cuts on the same disc instead of 3 discs for a cut on it's own disc.
