This looks like the Disc 1 of the Il Mare LE (none of the extras have English subs anyway) + The Lake House.

Awesome price for BAT: SE. The PQ is much superior to the original grain heaven DVD, extras are pants though.

I was tempted by DWW but ultimately while annoying (i.e - the English subs for everything) my Korean LE will be fine.

Not seen either so nabbed both at those cheap as pants prices.

Both are fantastic films, very different but very good. Both are very much classics, and both are the best world-wide (DWW for the DTS & BAT for the PQ along with the R1 SE).

Yes. It's worth it for double the price. I paid £8 at DVD Pacific a few months back.

It's a classic. The extras amount to a boring commentary and a couple of pants featurettets but the remaster job is a big improvement over the original (which my Dad has). Pity it's not a Warner title as they'd have released it as a 2 Disc SE.

Following on from the Sendit.com James Bond BOGOF £11.89 deal, Asda are selling them at £5.97 each (not BOGOF) delivered, free postage:

If you want 1 or odd numbers this is even cheaper than the price CD-Wow charge. Then again for only 5p more than Sendit.com it might be a good idea to forget BOGOF and just go with Asda.

Toei's december low priced limited editions are going for real cheap at amazon right now.

For example I just ordered the fifth instalment in the Truck Yarou series. Normal price is 4500 yen. Now: 3000 yen - 25% off for pre-orders - the tax = 2250 yen.

I'd like to know why Toei is stingy with licencing anime to the West - they hand out the licences for their live-action stuff like it's going out of style. I'd like to see great old school 70's/80's TV shows like Battleship Yamato, Galaxy Express 999, Space Pirate Captain Harlock in their uncut, original language forms w/ English subtitles dammit.

HAHA, that's hardly a bargain. The Western SE cost peanuts now. Eg I paid like £2.49-3.49 for the Predator 1 2-discer.

Thats impressive thats for sure if it was £65 quid it now says £167.06 so that wasa short sale, I would have bought it for that price as its georgous.

Don't you own the Alien head? Why would you want mostly the same DVDs again?

From what I see you get the Alien UEs + the AVP: SE but no ninth UE disc so pretty pointless really, IMO.

it was £65 earlier,a fourteen disc set at japanese prices was a bargain imo but alas bargain over

The 9th Quadrilogy disc was great, especially the Alien/Aliens laserdisc archives. Shame that they truncated the Kermode doco though.

The sets so nice its scary, best versions of Predator 1 and 2 also I have Alein films a few times al;ready, but this ste is stunning and massive and has some very nice things in it, well worth 60 quid.

A couple of additional shots (Uma driving the car, Esteban's place, the hookers etc.) just before the Esteban scene. The US cut actually works better here. I believe it's only to make them officially different versions (maybe something to do with the fact that Tarantino himself has rights (afaik) to the japanese cuts).
