Just bough a Denver DVD player. It's type 706K and most importantly, it's region-free.
Just checked it out a bit, and videoquality seems to be OK, although nothing special. Also kinda a bummer that when I start it up, it doesnt automatically go to 16:9, like my XBOX does, even though I've entered the right specs for my TV in the DVD player.

It was 30 euros at a local shop.

Also bought a bag of yellow M&M's, but that isnt as interesting I guess...

If your bank account doesn't allow you, you just have to stay disciplined. I realise that everytime I am ordering something. (Like yesterday.)

It's a good film, though. But I have no idea if you will find it to be a keeper. To me definitely as I am collecting every last piece of ****. I'd try P2P first.

Oh and in case you are ordering it from YesAsia... do it via my website as I get commission. :D

Not yet Grim for Season 2 of TMNT, I still need to get TMNT season 1, they are on my to purchase list :D

Yeah I didn't realise there was Ginger Snap 3, haven't seen any of them, Suppose to be really really good though, and the boxset looks really really nice. All the films are 16x9 Anamorphic with extras. The US version only has a pan and scan version of the first movie. :(

Will check out what its like

I have to get S3 of TMNT now, but so far there is only a "Volume 1" of S3 with 12 episodes on it, and S3 had 45 episodes or something like that (IIRC). Wierd.

I'll watch S2 and report back. I always thought the UK title sequence (with a shot of Raphael coming out of the sewer) was cooler than the US one with the plain blue screen. Be interesting to see what was cut from a few eps on this disc (nanchukus I bet).

The one when he stands up and is partly dark, yeah I like that as well. I didn't know that wasn't included in the US version, that a pity. Wish the extras did have the UK opening scene.

Yeah i think that the only thing that is cut. I want to get these and ThunderCats. The 80's and 90's cartoon :)

I'm hoping the forthcoming discs of S3 have more extras but I'm not holding my breath. S2 has NO EXTRAS at all - even S1 had extra episodes. Think of all the promo shit thats kicking about - FHE (Family Home Entertainment) are cheap barstewards. :x
I've been thinking about Thundercats too - used to love that but the R1 sets are VERY expensive :(

Only the NTSC mode has 480p, 720p and 1080i support. Now grab the Enigmah Video Switchdisc off http://www.xbins.org or here. It's a little app that lets you switch your Xbox from PAL to NTSC and vice versa.

Bookmark Xbins, all those compiled apps/tools/etc which you can't download from sites like www.xbox-scene.com (cuz they're compiled with M$'s SDK) are available for download there.

Slasher,
I've just had a gander at the Turtles set. The video quality isn't bad for an 80's cartoon that was obviously shot on video I guess. Sadly there are no extras aside from episode selection, not even any subtitle options.

Return of the Shredder was one episode cut in the UK - in the opening supermarket fight (and maybe elsewhere?) , This is how the uncut version should be - as shown on the R1:

I "think" a line may have been cut from the UK version after the checkout lady says "Who are you guys?" - Leonardo answers "We're here to take out the garbage", Mike is standing next to him with his nanchukus on clear display.

Thug 1: So you want to play dirty huh?
(Mike hits the guy with his nanchuckus)
Mike: Strike 1 dude!
(Mike hits the guy with the nanchucks who crashes into a cabinet).
Mike Strike 2!
Thug 1: Ha ha ya missed me!
Mike: Ya think so? (Blows down a stack of cans which fall on his head).
Mike: Strike 3, you're out! Ha ha!

In the UK version, it just shows the part where he blows down the stack of cans.

Shit, have you watched episodes the 100's of times to know shit like that? (refers to Grim's large post context).

I clearly remember that we got the US versions over in NZ. The show was known as TMNT (not TMHT) and definately were nunchuckus in use.
