Come on Romero let the rest of us know how you are having no problems with your orders

I order titles no one else orders I guess

when I order something else I will say how it goes, but nothing I want latley so thats not gonna happen for a while unless a real bargain shows up.

Title was dispatched July 11th (that's the day after I ordered it).

Obviously they posted it, blame Royal Mail and their pathetic Strikes!

by bradavon
Yeah I doubt the strikes are helping much.
I had to wait 2 weeks for a CD I pre-ordered a month before release and could've had it on release day. No loss "for me" as I was happy to wait due to the much cheaper price.
thelostdragon wrote:Also, is it normal that they charge my bank account for a pre-order title they haven't even shipped out? I ordered the LOST Season 3 boxset and they already charged my bank account.
No offence but when you check out it clearly charges your card, this is irrespective if it's a pre-order or in stock item, it's the same check out process. It's how CD WOW operate, it's no big deal IMO. As you'll either get it swiftly, have to wait or if you wish pop them an e-mail and they'll refund you swiftly.

seems to be the new releases/pre-orders are what's getting delayed.if it's an older title and in stock there seems no problem.

Pretty sporadic shipping it seems on some forums, some people are getting all their dvds and some get none

some are getting certain titles shipped, some others with the exact same titles are not. Guess its down to luck

It sounds like a distributor not CD WOW problem.
Posted: 15 Jul 2007, 14:33
by saltysam
it might be a cd-wow problem if the distributors have stopped supplying them-as it's region 1/2/3 releases that are being delayed the distibutor problem must be pretty widespread.

More likely then CD WOW can't keep up with demand.
At the moment I'm not buying many DVDs (at all) as I'm waiting until I get an HD Player. I'll have loads to buy then. I am buying the odd DVD where I'm sure it won't be on HD for ages.

FYI: I heard Hot Fuzz HD-DVD has all the extras but only on the HD-DVD side. Salty please confirm when it arrives.
I've heard great things about this film and want to check it out now but also don't want to get the DVD. The HD-DVD Combo would be perfect for this.

Er its NOT your cup of tea thats for sure, judging from what you like. Its got average reviews anyway, what the hell have you been reading

compared to Shaun of the Dead, its bollocks.

Aren't you for people seeing movies and making up their own minds, rather than by going by the opinions of reviewers? Good going, way to contradict yourself.

@romero: PWNED!

Brad hates many "culter" films and I didnt say DO NOT SEE IT, I didnt even come close to saying that, and I didnt say go by what any reviewers said at all. I was commenting on the fact it didnt get great reviews from everyone, thats for sure.
So I am not even close to being PWNED or contradicting myself. Tardises. :headbang:
I am getting Hot Fuzz, but only when its cheap, as its not worth full price thats for sure (not many films are nowadays) the extras alone will be fun for me as I listen to all the commentaries, and Shaun of the Deads are superb so hope these are too.

And I ask what you've been reading? Which is also a contracdiction btw when you keep telling us all Reviewers are scum and you don't read their reviews.
As for Hot Fuzz it's had 4/5 star ratings one after the other, so too from the public.

He he it's not the first and won't be the last time Romero contradicts himself.
It was Romero who brought up reviews not I.
romerojpg wrote:Brad hates many "culter" films and I didnt say DO NOT SEE IT
Odd word to opt for when we are talking about Mainstream films. I liked Die Hard 4, even if it was nothing at all like any of the previous films and may as well not be called Die Hard.
You're half right though, there is way more utter rubbish from Hollywood over the past 3-4 years than there is good.

I didnt "read" any reviews before I saw the film.
I have never in my life said all reviewers are scum, you just talking total and utter bollocks.

As I said I DID NOT contadict myself at all, you muppet. Learn to read, along with Eva.
