Well, let's see if "Fearless" really is Jet Li's last martial arts epic ever. I hope not. He said that the only martial arts films he'd make from now on would have to sound very promisisng. But the script isn't even written, yet. LOL!

Jackie Chan: Movie Deal With Jet Li Near

HONG KONG — A movie costarring two of the biggest names in kung fu cinema _ Jackie Chan and Jet Li _ is nearly a sealed deal, with the only outstanding issue being the script, Chan said Tuesday.
"All the hurdles have been overcome. The only problem left is the script,"Chan told The Associated Press after a press conference to promote his new action comedy,"Rob-B-Hood."
"We need a script that he approves and I approve. If that goes well, shooting will start in March or April in Shanghai,"he said.
Asked about the plot, Chan suggested it will be action-oriented fare, saying he and Li must defer to the movie's Hollywood backers.
"It will be more American-style. It will be more suited to foreign audiences than Chinese audiences,"he said."If you make a Hollywood movie, of course you have to follow their wishes. They're paying us so much money."

So it´s going to be a Hollywood movie in the end... I just hope that they let away those "supernatural" and unrealistic ideas.
I really wonder, who is going to direct this movie. Corey Yuen´d be great, he´s done some work in Hollywood and knows how to make Chan and Li look good.

I mentioned "Twins Effect 2" because Jackie is in it. Corey Yuen has made some decent movies, though.
Has anyone else noticed that Twins Effect is called "Vampire Effect" in the US for some reason?

And did you know that I write reviews for the asianfilmweb?
Don´t think that I want to show off... because I´m not very satisfied with the 3 reviews, which are up yet. Whenever I read them I´d like to change some sentences... Actually I´ve already written 8, but Jost has got to do a lot at the time. That´s why f.e. my Election-review isn´t there yet.

Thanks LD, that´s nice. But I think I´m not experienced enough in writing reviews yet. So besides yours they´d look very poor.
And it´s the same with my English. I still have got to learn a lot, before I´ll be able to write reviews in English.
If you revived the good old "Jackie Chan Center" I could write reviews in German for you.

Waaahhh... you remember the embarassing Jackie Chan Center? I really wanted to revive it. I even worked on a new design, but unfortunately things wouldn't work the way I wanted them to and the readership has been so small, especially because it was in German only.
As for your English... man... you learn through practice. And to be honest, do you believe I'd post your reviews without checking them before?

Yeah it looks a bit familiar. I always thought YOU looked familiar to me from the pics you posted here, but I must have seen you on your old JC website. I remember that website as I liked it quite a lot, and was in my favourites folder on my old old computer a long long time ago (together with the jet li/lee website)
You had some cool stuff on there, for as far as I can remember. But it must be a very long time ago now, isnt it? Maybe even 10 years orso...
I liked the stuntman section, plus you also had stuff on his opera brothers, didnt you? I liked it as there was just lots of info with pics.
Nowadays, I hardly look up websites from famous people anymore. Most are either crap, or are trying to charge you for stuff (Leslie Cheung's page for instance) or at least you have to become a member, with a log-in name and password and all that crap. Cant stand those websites...

The Jackie Chan / Jet Li Project Will Tell a Journey to the West-Inspired Story? (MonkeyPeaches Exclusive)

According to an article by Shanghai Morning Post, the story of the untitled Jackie Chan / Jet Li Project (aka. The J&J Project) is about a modern day kung fu master accidentally travels back to the ancient China and meets the Monkey King but the article does not mention who is playing whom. The journalist who wrote the story claims she has been tipped off by someone from Shanghai Film Group, which is in talk to facilitate the production in the city. The Monkey King is a character from classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. He single handily pillages the heaven, punished by the Buddha, then becomes a disciple and guardian of Tang Monk, and escorts him to the west to seek Buddhist texts, with two other disciples, Pigsy and Sandy.
Update: an anonymous contributor just sent me this message:
I know a little bit about the planned Journey to the West project. Rumor has it that Jackie Chan is to play a drunken master while Jet Li is to play Tripitaka (note: the Tang Monk), the monk. The main character is not a kung-fu master, but a half-Chinese teenager from New York who later learns how to fight from the other characters. I don't know who is set to play the Monkey King himself.
So this is going to be a Karate Kid meets Drunken Master meets Journey to the West meets Time Machine? I am not quite impressed by this idea.
I like the Drunken Master idea (if it should be true)
I dislike the idea that the main actor isn´t one of the two, but a half-Chinese teenager from New York.
I dislike the time-travelling idea
I dislike hip hop music
I dislike licorice
And I dislike American filmmakers!

Please let them find a different script!

B: might not even share scenes together...
C: It seems like a kiddie movie.

Dunno, he might be able to - why not? Jackie was 40 when he played WFH in Drunken Master II and hell, it didnt matter that he was some 20 years older than his character
Even if Jackie and Jet don't have a one on one fight it could be a good movie with JC playing a Drunken Master type
