Ahhh i think i have left my one on still. Oh well. I'm afraid i have no idea about the profiler. Yep the cardboard is very cheap, but the artwork is kinda cool. Methings in a a years time, the cardboard will disappeargrim_tales wrote:Actually I *have* managed to remove them (with fingernails and wet tissue and then drying everything with a hairdryer). Pain in the ass though
The cardboard is quite cheap but I wasnt expecting much.
Do you know how to change a discs locality in Profiler? I selected the Region as R3 but Profiler only gave me an option of HK, Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan. Thailand wasnt there?
The actual amardy cases are quite good with nice artwork.

Damn it. I just received Ninja Wars UK disc from amazon, but it's not working. The whole dvd-player starts shaking and making noised when insert the disc. It does play, but I'm afraid it may damage my dvd-player. I would author a new dvd, but my computer can't even recognize the disc (just keeps saying "no disc"). Now I'm waiting for amazon to reply to my e-mail.
And btw, the UK disc doesn't seem to be any better than the US version. I was hoping it would be better (someone at dvd beaver even suspected the US version may be a PAL to NTSC conversion) but the UK disv seems to feature just as much ghosting (judging by US caps). These version do have the exact same running time, though. Not sure what that means...

Hey LD: do u ever watch dutch movies?thelostdragon wrote:Damn, Eva, what is it with "Goodbye, Lenin" and all the fans of this film around the world. I hated it. In terms of German movies, there really have been a few which I really enjoyed. These would be "kurz und schmerzlos" and most recently "Knallhart" which I saw at the theatre a few days ago.
There arent many good ones, but there are a few. 'Lek' is pretty good, as well as 'Van God Los'.
BTW, I have been planning a reply to an earlier reply from you for a while now, and it's still coming, but I'm searching for a book so I'm hoping to find that one so I can scan it in.
The german wing chun fighter you mentioned, wasnt the guy I meant btw. The guy I was thinking of was Emin Boztape, if that rings any bells with ya?
I also do that punching dumbells thing. Works great for the shoulders and the aforementioned 'snap' (push are also good for that snap btw, or at least it seems my punches get much faster when I've done lots of push-ups.
However, my dumbells are only 4 kg's each...
I dont have any heavier ones with which I can punch. I also have metal ones but I cant use those for punching, as they consists of loose parts.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Well I enjoyed it when I rented the awful non-anamorphic R4.thelostdragon wrote:Damn, Eva, what is it with "Goodbye, Lenin" and all the fans of this film around the world.
I'm the same with NZ films, there's very few (from the ones that I've seen) that I would consider any good.In terms of German movies, there really have been a few which I really enjoyed.
Eg there's a local animated comedy show (Bro'Town) which relies on toilet jokes and racial stereotypes. Alot of people love it and it's "critically acclaimed" but I think it's fucking AWFUL. The fuckwits behind Bro'Town (called the Naked Samoans) recently put out a live action film (called Sione's Wedding) which looks fucking awful. The national newspapers all gave it 5/5; they usually tend to way over-hype NZ films - writing gushing, biased reviews.
