Ow yeah, forgot to mention this, but yesterday I saw Silvia Kristel in the American Bookstore in Amsterdam.
For those who dont know who she is: she was the star in the soft-porn movies Emanuelle.

Never found her attractive though, nor did I like the movies of her that I've seen.

I never found Sylvia Kristel that attractive, she looks better in Emmanuelle 2 though (different hair).

Well... she had shorter, old woman's hair. Still brown, and still OK for a 50 year old or whatever she is...
She was on the ground floor, near the cash-register, checking out the newest books that are on display there (non-fiction, but mostly art/design books)
I was just on my way out, but had to wait a bit for some classmates to finish browsing...

And I have no clue if she actually reads. Judging from the movies she's done, I bet she's never read a script though

Anyway, from the few interviews I've seen of her on Dutch tv, she seems like a nice person. Not a MILF though...
She was with a younger guy (around 37-45) orso, with brown long hair and I think some facial hair...

I bet I wouldn't even notice Sandra Romain, Sativa Rose, Belladonna or Destiny DeVille if I met them while at their 40s.

Well, it helps that she's been on Dutch TV in recent years a few times, in interviews and stuff like that. Otherwise I probably wouldnt have recognised her, as I've only really seen glimpses of the movies she was in.

I havent even heard of those women you just mentioned.

just got back from the cinema with my aunt, went to watch fearless...worth the big screen viewing, made it somehow much more cooler and dramatic....the opening scene rocked with the surround sound and big screen. the room was packed with people, which kinda made it cooler, than just a dozen or so people.

but some idiots phone behind me kept going off...so annoying.

Ah, the pleasure and pain of a cinema visit. Matchless screen size and sound quality, potentially marred by some jerk not paying attention to the public service announcements that play before the film.


The only time I think a full cinema is a good thing is if I've gone to see a comedy. Otherwise, I like my cinemas as empty as possible. I remember watching Hero and there was just a mate and myself watching it in the entire cinema hall. Class

I can top that. When I watched Jeepers Creepers - I was the only person in the cinema...

The only time I've been to see a film by myself is when one fit in nicely between lectures at uni. Had to be short so I could make it back to uni in time

I watched that film with someone else. Good job too, cos it meant I could share the pain.

I saw Twin Dragons and Extreme Measures by myself (years apart). And the tickets only cost me a couple of quid or so at my late, lamented fleapit. Now you need a fucking bank loan to go to a multiplex. Matinees are a fucking fiver for Christ's sake.

The first film I have ever watched on my own in a cinema was "The First Knight". I think the last one was "Sin City". I don't mind going to a theatre on my own. Sometimes I even prefer it, depending on the film (no, not a porn cinema).

Especially at the Fantasy Filmfest I often go on my own, because if three of my more open friends have no time, all the others would say, "You mean it's Asian AND subtitled? No, thanks!"

Morons! He he he! I watched "Tube" on my own and I loved it. I remember how I wrote a long-ass review here saying that it was the best action film of the year. Looking at it now, I see the flaws of the film. But when I watched it on my own on the big screen and awesome sound where you had constant gunfire and not more than 2 minutes of no-action I was just amazed. Made me enjoy the film more tbh.

On the other hand, though, I really disliked "Resurrection of the Little Match Girl" which I also watched on my own.

I always watch movies on my own (and most of the time I'm all alone in the theater).
The average southern frenchman doesn't usually like asian films with subtitles.

yeah ia gree they are pretty expesnive, the trip today cost almost £15, sincei got rahter hungry as i'd not eaten all day and needed somethign to eat, even justa some sweets costs like £3, and then my aunt wanted coffee so we went o starbucks,and yeah it scusk, when i was younger we sued to go to the cinema it would cost £2, now its £4:50 and more

WHAT? Over here in Cologne it is between €4,50 and €5 from Monday to Thursday. On Friday and the weekend it gets more expensive reaching a price of €8,50, which are days on which I usually don't go to cinemas.

Oh, and you do get a price reduction if you are a student and have your student I.D. with you.

I used to be able to get a ticket, a hot dog and a medium soft drink for a fiver.

Now I can get the hot dog.
