I pay £11 a month for a cineworld pass. I can basically se any movie I like, at any time.
It's ace value and I even have some spare cash for food etc.
Only problem is that the range of films shown in Aberdeen is less than everywhere else, because the whole world is racist against Aberdonians.

Yeah, well that's cause Aberdonians suck.

I say pork her and hope your fiance doesn't find out.
See if I lived in Cologne this wouldn't be a problem because she'd fancy me instead. Sorry I can't help this time. 8)

Wow! This would be great. Too bad my work is not in Cologne.

What?!? Why?!? Would this make YOU feel better, if you confessed to something you haven't acted on? Because I can't see what good it will do for your fiance to know, unless you enjoying giving her something to worry about. By telling her, wouldn't you be making Salome more of an issue than she is currently?
thelostdragon wrote:shall I just tell Salome in one of our next conversations, if any, that I am engaged? Completely casually like, "Oh yeah, he he he! My fiancé does that, too." or so, lol!
Sounds good. But stop starving yourself! Eat!

Seems like good advice from the monkey lady (;)), LD. If you've done nothing with the lass, then there's no need for your fiancée to know; she'll just get it into her head that there is something going on.

Well, that makes it easy, 'cause when you're fiance dumps you, you won't have to choose...

Multiplexes are super-expensive over in central Auckland. $15NZD to see a film at peak times (Friday night/weekends). "Blockbuster prices" on the "big movies" in the first week or so are even dearer - eg Superman Returns is $20 to see the Imax 3D version, $18 to see a general screening.

LOL!!! just reading an article in the paper, and political correctness really has gone too far..
the old enid blyton books, have been overhauld to become more PC...the famous five and secret seven books are apparently sexist and now the booyiys and girls share chores around the house...
the magic far away tree the names of the characters "fanny and dick" have been changed too "Frannie and rick" to old Dame Slap who used to hit kids is now called Dame Slap and scolds them rather than hits them.
the little colored girl named bessie (a name assosiated with slavery) has been changed to a little white girl named beth.
and even the language of th books has changed "i say" has been replaced by "hey" and "queer" is now "odd" and biscuits have been changed to cookies...
lol this really is stupid. i read 90% of her books as a kid, and they wree no bother about the fact the girls did chores round the house and the boys in the garden, and stuff like this, lol its really quite pathetic, they are just kids books, written in the 1940's and 50's, which is why they have th terms they do...changing the books will ruin them IMO, next they will change hobits to "vertically challenged species" in the lord of the rings. lol stupid...

This is like the
Tom & Jerry cartoons and the changes that were made to it. The black lady who owns Tom was recently re-voiced for some reason I can't actually fathom, in that she still speaks with an accent, and I never picked up a stereotyping nature to the accent in the first instance. Other stuff, like casual racism in the form of blacking-up Tom and co., has been excised as well, I think...
Does this change come into effect with new printings of the stories, or are they going to be seperate versions of the tales?
But, come on, Fanny and Dick are amusing names. Nobody can take 'em seriously

i dunno if its seperate stories, i think it wil lrather just be from a printing a new batch of stuff...they always ruingreat books with their stupid ideals, they should rather concentrate on more important things like catching peadophiles and murderers and such, not the names of charcters in fictional stories written 60yrs ago. i loved thefamous five books, and they are just fine as they are, interesting for the read as a kid, for the adventure and stuff in them, if you readthem you dont really care about the chores, rather about the stuff they are getting out to, and solving...its becomng pathetic

LOL, if anything is racist its the changing of a black girl to white. I remember Fanny and Dick in the Faraway Tree books, and old Dame Slap, as for hitting children, I don't think she ever hit them hard, just slapped or hit them lightly. It was what was done at the time.
Fanny and Dick = Frances and Richard, LOL, how can anyone take that seriously. The Golliwogs in Noddy represent black people or negative images of them though.
What the feck is unPC about "I say" and "biscuits", theyre just changing them for the US market

Which is insulting to Americans.
