I'm a little worried about Terminator with what it sounds like not a lot of Terminator.

At the end of the day I think I can say say 99% of people just want T4 AND it to be based after the events of T3. That could be such a good film. Why doesn't someone just make it?

T3 was a fun summer action movie, but nothing more. Nothing can ever reach the plateaus that Cameron's T1&2 sit upon. They should just let the franchise rest in peace.

Hell, I ignore T3 as part of the canon. T1&2 told a complete narrative.

Agree completely with you Eva about T3.

T3 gets better on repeat viewings but I agree it doesn't even come close to T1 or T2.

Agreed on some parts, but i like the idea of T3, basically if its set in stone whats going to happen, you can't change it , Thats a cool idea IMO

I think the Terminator TV series sounds dreadful TBH.

T3 was just about tolerable but is pale in comparison with its prequels. To me, it was no different than the Terminator 2 3D ride at Universal Studios.

My favourite is Terminator followed by T2. Anything else I don't consider part of the series IMO.

I thought T3 was a fairly decent action Blockbuster in its own right. Although it paled by comparison with the first two movies I think it's a worthy sequel even though it could have been much better. I certainly want to see Terminator 4 and have done since watching the end of Terminator 3. That ending was fantastic and as far as I'm concerned the story has to be completed.

I don't care if they finish the story in one, two or three more movies as long as whatever follows has been planned ahead. By that I mean the whole story has been plotted and will be set in stone before any movie has been shot. I also think the films should be suitably dark in tone and more appropriate for a film set post apocalypse. Mr Schwarzenegger should only appear as a cameo role with him and Michael bienn( spelling??) going back in time completing the circle. I don't think we need to see more terminators sent from the future, one to protect and one to kill John Connor/girlfriend/other important people. I think we should see the evolution of the Terminator. We have seen the T1 now we should watch it evolve through the various models.


I'm not certain it's possible to turn Blade and the Terminator into TV series successfully. I don't see either of them lasting beyond one season but I'm certainly interested to give them both a fair go. I'm not certain how the Terminator can work without having Terminators coming after Sarah and John Connor. As for the character of Blade I don't think he's communicative enough. Where TV series gain over films is they are more character-driven and I can't see that working for Blade.

It will probably just be "anti-hero spouts one-liners while fighting monster-of-the-week while main series villain plots". The formula is cliched and done to death. Character development for an anti-hero = angst and more angst - it's all cliched to hell. Plus the violence will be toned down significantly - the Blade films (including the rubbish 3rd one) prided themselves on being R-rated films.

that is basically what I would like to see as well, much like Kyle Reese's flashbacks in T1.

What I meant about the evolution of the Terminator was to see it change from from the big and clunky T1 that we saw during Terminator 3, through the various designs leading up to the Terminator taking bipedal form, through to the rubber skin versions as mentioned in Terminator 1 that the Dogs can sniff out. Finally evolving into the original Schwarzenegger model although not necessarily played by Schwarzenegger but various actors as I doubt they would just have one human look! I don't think they need a new prototype although you can bet they will have one.

Clearly my memory is a little foggy as I thought he was a T-101 model... has my mind randomly come up with this model or does it mean anything to anybody else?

He is a T-800 Model 101 cybernetic organism. The T-101 reference was a mistake made in Terminator 3.

Actor/rapper Sticky Fingaz is the new Blade for the proposed TV series.

Yeppers, The Shape scrounged up this bit of info and sent along the pic of Kirk "Sticky" Jones in his new Blade ensemble. Ol' Sticky will be seen dukin' it out with vamps come June '06 in a two hour "movie event" on Spike TV (check your local cable listings).

David S. Goyer serves as executive producer, and also co-wrote the script, but fans may also remember him as the guy who directed the Blade: Trinity, widely (and, perhaps, ironically) considered the main reason Blade has been forced off of cinema screens and onto TV in the first place.
