Nooooo..... :(

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453556/

Not supposed to be released til 2007. Don't you think the Turtles will be CGI this time instead of guys in suits like before? (Mind you it would naff if the Turtles and Splinter weren't CGI).
The film was pretty dark compared to the cartoon wasn't it? It should at least be as dark as that, but I cant see a film like this getting a PG-13 or R (!) rating (someone said "It has to be PG-13 or R" on the IMDB boards!)

Yeah I read about this as well a couple of years ago. John Woo names was attached to the project. This was before the TMNT remake cartoon came out, they wanted a movie which was dark. I thought it was canned.

Mmmm interesting. I have the original black and white comic and that was really dark

The original movie was fun, I'm just fed up with all these remakes :D
I doubt the film will be as dark, the comics were PG-13 weren't they? (Didnt really read them). But the 2003 toon was pretty dark also.

It was still VERY kiddy-ish and alot of the violence was covered by stuff equivalent to "zip!" "bam! "pow!" of the Homo-erotic 1960's Batman show. They never properly used their weapons either (i.e. slicing, maiming flesh, etc); alot like how Wolverine in X-men Evolution only used his claws to cut through steal doors and shit.

The 2003 remake toon was produced by 4Kids Entertainment afterall, who're responsible for the One Piece dub/hack-job (also Pokemon and Yugioh) where guns and shit were digitally-painted into super soakers, etc. I remember in one episode of Yugioh they digitally-painted over a butterfly knife which a character was threatening the lead villain with, the poor sod was reduced to making threats with fist.

 I meant the 2003 TMNT was darker in tone (and a bit more violent) than the 80's toon. Fair? :)

We'll know it's more adult in tone when April has a gangbang with the Turtles... :D

Wow I didn't realise this, Haven't watched any of these, but know of their names. I just thought they were dubbed. [/quote]

It'll be a CGI movie. Warner are distributing it in the US, that Weinstein fuck internationally.

It may be good, it might not be good. I hope it not like Blade 2 cgi fighting, sorry but that was crap IMO. Oooo I have a bad feeling about this though.... :(
