If you have a samsung e700 phone, you should be able to help me.

I've got one, but the main screen has died on me. Got a new phone, put in my sim and there were NO numbers on it... all my numbers appear to have been copied from my sim to the E700... but I can't get at any of them as the screen is broken.

Can someone here tell me the exact keystroke order to press, that will copy the numbers from the phone, to the sim card?

As it stands at the mo' I've lost all my numbers... I know I can prob go to a shop to get this done, but I work mon-fri 9-5 and all the shops are shut by the time I get back! And will need the numbers before hte weekend!

If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated!!

Does it come with software for your pc? If so you could access the contents without having to use the display.

I use "Jeyo Mobile Companion" which displays an Explorer type window with a list of:

SMS - Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items
Contacts - SIM, Phone

It's dead easy to use and access the phones contents via the PC screen. I can then backup the lot to a file on my PC.

I think this particular software is for SmartPhones only but do a Google search.

I'm not really sure whether my Samsung is the E700. It is the silver/grey one you have to slide up in order to call. My screen once was completely white and it stayed like this for 30 minutes in the beginning. Later it became more frequent until it was white all the time. It still had its warranty and I sent it to have it repaired. Works fine now.

Usually, the Sim Card saves up to 30 name entries I think. They should all still be on your phone. Did you try with to connect the phone to your computer via USB? You should be able to copy the phone book to your hard drive and then put it on your new phone (provided that it is a Samsung phone).

Managed to play around wtih the phone (read hit it often enough) to make the screen work slightly for long enough for me to copy all the numbers to my sim!!

It didn't come with software, or a cable to connect it, so couldn't use that as an option.

And Lost- that ain't the E700. The E700 is the mainly blue flip phone. My SIM can save 250 numbers on it.

Blimey that's a lot. I think mine's about 100.

Personally I have my numbers saved to my phone as it supports much longer contact names, e-mail address, postal address' (which I don't use) etc . . . I also have about 1/3 on the sim if I need to put the sim in another phone.
