The "Waiting for Zelda: Twilight Princess" thread

Zelda: Twilight Princess is the only game I'm anticipating. IGN's tentative date is "Fall 2006", which is American for 3rd/4th Quarter 2006 (and Autumn).
I hope they release this on the bloody Gamecube. Ninty may pull a "fuck you" to the Cube install base and make it a Revolution launch title, I hope not.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if they will drop the Cube release, and will just purely go for a Revolution-release, since it will sell ALOT of its released as a launh title for that system, plus there are already rumours abound that it uses the new revolution's controller in some way or other...

You will be able to play it on both machines. The release date was post-poned after they decided to make it work on the Revolution, too. What they are currently working on is to make it work with the awesome new controller.

Rough translation (babelfish):
More than one month after its first presentation at the time of Game Developers Conference, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass makes its return on Nintendo DS in this handle of images diffused in the pages of the magazine Nintendo Dream and drawn from this same conference. In more of its graphics proposing to us a soft mixture between The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Furnace Swords Adventures, this first episode DS will benefit from the many possibilities of the console to offer to us a single experiment in the history of the series. Indeed, whereas the higher screen brings all information necessary to us to our tour, the touch screen and its stylet will allow us as for them the realization of various actions to the sword or the boomerang. Waited in playable version at the time of Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass should not be born in Europe before the year 2007.
