Great caps. Tom could you add the French ones? I'd love to finally know how the two compare.

I've no idea what Eva is on but I want some :D

Brad, could you please add R3HK MeiAh caps? I've loaned mine out to my brother (as well as Chungking & ITMFD:Criterion.)

Sorry no as I traded it a while back. I got rid when I picked up the R4.

Have you deleted 4 of the captures Eva? Only one still works. They were working yesterday.

Fixed. Shit, Mordib's FuckYouImageShack is really buggy.

Are the French subs forced?

The computer with the DVD-ROM (which I used to take the caps with) is a shitty old Celeron 233 w/ an ancient ATI Rage video card. Would that affect the quality of the screens?

Nope as you turned off Hardware acceleration. I wonder if the PowerDVD version would though?

Yeah the French DVD is slightly sharper but otherwise they both look as peachy as each other. I wonder how the UK R2 stacks up.

For those who missed out on the R4 Tin would the Tartan interviews or Film Critic Commentary be better? (R4)

The French image is very slightly superior, but the R4 is still very good.

I'll add caps of the R3HK MeiAh release once I get mine back from my brother.

Cheers.

Personally, I'd go for a critic commentary since it's much longer than the Tartan interviews, but some might prefer hearing from actually involved in the production (the Ziyi interview is prolly your typical gushing EPK rubbish though).

How's the commentary Brad? It sounds good from the below description:-
source wrote:Audio Commentary-Stephen Teo (Wong Kar Wai Expert)

Stephen Teo is a fan of Wong Kar Wai and of this film. He is also very knowledgeable about Hong Kong cinema, and I have read a book of that name written by him that covers more than just the martial arts and heroic bloodshed genres. In discussing 2046 he goes into a lot of detail about the storyline, explaining some obscure plot points and highlighting references to earlier Wong Kar Wai films. He also indicates where the subtitles on this release don't quite convey the intended meaning of the dialogue. What Teo also does, especially at the start of the movie, is provide a very Freudian analysis of the symbolism. While his delivery is a little dry, this commentary is well worth a listen.

I've only heard parts of it but it sounded decent to me. The guy seemed well informed. I was thinking the same but wasn't sure as the Tartan interviews are from those involved.

I don't think the ZZ is EPK and is a proper interview, like the one on the R4.

What does EPK mean?

Electronic Press Kit, they're really Promos to sell the film.
