Hard Candy makes Mr/Lady Vengence look like a kids movie

I just seen Hard Candy at the cinema.

I challenge any male to sit through this (at the cinema) without throwing up.

It's difficult to rate a film that makes you feel like shit. But it's a well made film, in terms of structure, performances and execution. It utilised an intriguing visual style, that is both rapid and very bleak.

It's almost like 2LDK/Aragami, in the sense that there are only two lead people and it takes place in a single location. But apart from that, it isn't all that similar.

Warning, don't read any reviews on this film because I bet you a tenner that they'll have spoiled it. In fact, don't even bother researching this film - just watch it. If you dare (bet you a tenner that you don't).

Yup wankers have spoiled a few bits for me already, may they burn in hell for doing it

I avoided everything and some morons just say things on threads that have nothig to do with that film, so you cannot avoid it all. Esspecially when tossers are on forums and like to ruin films for you.

Sounds interesting...
I have read a couple of reviews so I know the basic premise and can imagine the direction it takes.
The producer has commented that we're supposed to admire the girl, which, unless I've caught the wrong end of the stick, is a bit disturbing.
If you want to PM me so as to avoid posting spoilers, that's fine.

We can use spoiler tags here so it should be ok.

Romero that sucks that you've had it spoiled for you. Morons.

The stupid ass trailer makes this look like yet another teen slasher flick. It looks very much like Audition.

The guy on the internet that the young girl meets isn't actually a paedophile and yet she tortures him anyway Is that wrong, Bisc?

Mark, the audience is never truly sure until the end.

There aren't always, brad. Only if it was one's last post. Normal users can only delete the last post they have made.

Bisc: Hmm. I wasn't comfortable with the idea that she had lured and tortured an innocent man and is then painted as some sort of heroine. Seemed a bit sick to me. If he's a paedophile, bad enough. I'm sometimes wary of these sadistic films as they can leave a nasty taste in the mouth if the morality is wrong.

Brad: No option to delete. I just checked.
