Both are cut (HKL - boat fight. Mei Ah - Chao vs Yuen Gap fight). Mei Ah has original title card and Chinese credits at 2:35:1 squished into 1:33:1. Mei Ah has Cantonese. Original ratio is 2:35:1, HKL is 1:68:1 (roughly) and Mei Ah is 1:33:1 (roughly). No real winner.

VCDs have been allowed in other comparisons (Drunken Master 2), why not this?

Shame HKL screwed up this one. I'd be surprised if someone took it upon themselves to fully restore this

Mei Ah are the only ones I'd see who'd do such title. Although with the state of the Seasonal prints, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was filled with cuts and artificial motion.

Damn shame for a classic movie, I really want this film to be remastered and seen in its original ratio. I can understand HKL screwing it up in the beginning, but why not now make this film a plantium version, and do some justice to this film

They could have cashed in on Fearless but since we're STILL waiting for that Platinum DVD of Drunken Master, I wouldn't hold your breath
