It's in German, but the news should be out there in English as well. Set for 2008 Hollywood bought the remake rights to Andrew Lau's latest film. Leonardo CiCaprio is going to be starring in it and again William Monahan is writing it.

Andrew Lau sold it under two conditions:
1. He demanded more for the remake rights than he was given for "The Departed" (1.75 million US$)
2. To be the director of the remake since he wasn't happy with "The Departed".

Interesting news. Did anyone else ever see Confession of Pain? It was a pretty flawed film, but I liked it.

Unfortunately, I have been a little short on cash recently, so I haven't seen any of the new films from Asia.
My priorities are:
1. Curse of the Golden Flower
2. Battle of Wits
3. Confession of Pain
4. After this our Exile

...and some others, too. I have a list lying around somewhere here.

Anyway, I hope the film isn't as bad as it was made by the critics. People have been expecting another "Infernal Affairs".
