24: Season 4

So what does everyone think so far? I'm enjoying it. Jack seems to be getting himself into a lot of trouble this season (no change there then!), but there are some niggling thinks that just don't seem right like with the third season.

Why didn't Jack just slash the suspect's tires? Why bother holding up the petrol station & getting himself into trouble with the local law enforcement? And why keep the car afterwards?! The first thing he should have done was dump that one!

It does seem like its going to be another top season, although its a bit too early to tell really...

Well...

At the end of the double bill Ronny got shot and Jack had to chase after the suspect if you remember.

Since then, he tailed the man for another hour and tried to get Chloe to help with satellite coverage. He needed to delay the suspect (at the end of the 3rd episode so that Chloe could realign the satellite, so Jack staged a robbery at the petrol station where his suspect had stopped.

To cut the story short, Jack let the suspect go to see if he would lead the way to where Audrey and Heller are being held, but got caught by the police for his armed robbery!

Thats as far as we have got. Right now (11am) Jack is laid on the tarmac with a gun to his head...

Where is the damn spoiler tag in this forum software?!

Cheers IM :) I'll try and watch it on Sunday, if not Sunday I'll see the repeat.

Didnt the hostage taking at the end of the double bill have scary parallells (at least the imagery) with the kidnapping of Ken Bigley? :!:

IM or anyone else did you see Sunday's episode? :D I must have missed another one, the one I saw was the 12.00-1.00pm one.

Fantastic episode, and some elements were truly shocking, like when we learn the father of the Araz family (the bad guys) forced his son to kill his US girlfriend (I'm not sure of the events leading up to that or why, but that was horrible  ), and then the father wants him dead... why? :?

Why didnt/doesnt he just tell his father to piss off? :? I know his father has a certain power over him but still, would you kill a loved one or someone close to you because a "your parents" or superiors told you to do it?
To make him do that because of his hatred for one country is ludicrous.

Heller is freed, but then the scene where he gets SDT (?) and torture to be used on his son (as he thinks he has information) is really harrowing :(

I havent got my PC speakers hooked up yet :? :(

In last Sunday's episode...

[hide]What do you think will happen to the son and mother? Its' clear the father (and not the whole Araz family per se) is the real villain of this piece. What makes it shocking is simply because he is the boy's father
I don't know if the mother will survive or not (after getting shot) first she has to escape with her son. Why did they have to go off quickly from the hospital when the police came? :?[/hide]

IronMonkey did you see 24 on Sunday?

[Kiefer]The following takes place between 3pm and 4pm[/Kiefer] 8)

I didnt know the mother believed in the "cause" as much as the father does (whatever it is). :?
Thats pretty scary but she at least has a paternal instinct and wants to save her son (unlike the father). I find it hard to believe she doesnt mind seeing 100000+ people die (she doesnt mind if the reactors melt) if her son isn't saved. But this is 24, if her son isn't saved we'll lose the story thread about 1/4 of the way through.

I think Jack's real battle is with the father, who is really the main bad guy of the series, IMO.

Hurrah! Finally a confrontation between Jack and the evil father, it was quite fitting and harrowing the son should be the one to fire. :!:

Was that what you meant?

Who are those other guys near the end of the episode (the bearded ones) who wanted to know what CTU knew about the override? Do you think Paul is involved with the terrorists?

Hey,

Last nights ep: (6-7pm) -

Why did that woman's daughter (you know the one in the hospital die? :o

Also this seems to follow the pattern of previous seasons with there being a "mole" inside CTU.

What happened to Mrs. Araz and her son? :?

I just noticed something btw, when Ex-president Palmer was asked to help out.

He says something like "You hired me to do the dirty work. In order to fix this mess, we need to get our hands dirty."

Didn't Sheri Palmer use those exact words in Season 3?

:o :o :o :o :o
