It is a rather strange religion to believe in, some of the ideas are completely bizarre but then all religions have to be started by somebody.
The only big difference is most religions were started hundreds of years ago, so by most get a lot less scrutiny than others. Each to their own I say. If they want to believe it, let them. Religion starts many wars but it equally brings happiness to millions (something often forgotten).

1 person dies from a Religiloon war, but thats ok, the happiness of 1000 people is fine and outweighs the one death.
All Religion is ignorance, esspecially when one religion slags off another, becuase "Your" religion is soo much more real

Prove it!? ohh yeah thats just being silly now as who needs proof.

Sadly its an odd time to even talk about this with the murdering going on at the moment bigtime, why? becuase they all love God soo much
When the kids do this you know your country is so messed up, its insanity.
Both sides are as messed up as another. At least Scientology people dont murder in the name of their god/religion/some sense of supiriority.
Mind you Scientology does ignore people and help them die painful and slow deaths, but hey they are reborn in other bodies so they will be fine.
As much as Scientology sounds a bit crackers, Jesus and that Muslim fella sound just as insane to me.

I agree with Mark

It would be a good idea to draw a line between religions and people who use religions as excuse to do things that have nothing to do with the religion. It's sad people rarely can see the difference.

Very true.

Agreed, with Brad and Hungfist.

Well not really as they are the exactly same thing, its all down to how someone interprits their "gods" ways/text. Then they take it from there and go a bit mental.
Mind you Scientology is so complex it has to be the hardest religion to follow

Only you Romero would consider what Hung said as exactly the same thing. They're world apart. One is the religion and the other the abuse of it.
There's nothing wrong with having the odd drink but to abuse alcohol and become an alcoholic is entirely different.

That's horrific

Israel are in the wrong too here, not saying they are "the good guys", it often seems to be Hamas who starts off this crap. Why do they have military bases in the middle of areas where civilians are?

The thing is that Hamas is not an army. They are mostly civilians who gather to rebel against the oppressing Israeli forces.

That's what the western media and the Israelis want you to believe.
They say this whole crap started because Gaza didnt want to continue the peace-treaty, while it was Israel who kept coming into the palestinian area to kill 'terrorists' during that peace-treaty. Not to mention cutting off food, money, help, etc.

Theyre both as bad as each other...

I'm sure innocents died on both side

The BBC is giving lots of coberage to protesters over here (incl. Gordon Brown) asking for a ceasefire.

They even forbid the red cross to enter the region just to help. Why would they do that?

I don't know

That's awful.

Grim, you really need to get informed about this a LITTLE more, cause although I'd love to discuss it, it makes little sense to do so when you dont really know what's going on, and been going on, for quite a while.
It's Israel that occupying and oppressing the palestinians, it's Israel breaking international law and human rights again and again and again, it's Israel that's taking more and more land away from the palestinians and using disproportional force, and it's Israel that broke the peace-treaty and is now starting a ground-war.

It's horrific what's going on now. And those photos show you the extremes that you won't see on the evening news. Talk about disproportionate. Unfortunately for innocent Palistinians, Hamas are so fucking stupid they gave Israel the excuse they needed to launch of a full scale military attack. Why keep firing rockets into Israel? It's obviously going to awake a sleeping giant. Even if said rockets are homemade crap it's enough to provide Israel with (in their opinion) justification. I don't think anyone here is going to cry if Hamas takes a hit but what about the families? What about the hundreds of women and children slaughtered just for being in the wrong place and the wrong time? Nowhere in Gaza is safe. Basically if you're in Israel's path you're possibly fucked. The Bush admin won't do anything with a huge Jewish lobby behind them and I doubt Obama will be radically different. I can't see how this situation is ever going to improve... in fact it'll likely get worse.

Imagine people coming to your house. They bomb your door open. They kill your neighbours and some family members. They throw you and your family out. They take your water, your food, your electricity etc. and in return they offer you to live in the doghouse right next to your house, making the space in it smaller every now and then.
How would you react? Especially if the cops saw it all happening and didn't care one bit? If I were the people who took all this away from you by force, I'd expect you to keep attacking me until... well, until you can get your property back or until I have killed you.
And Israelis don't care one bit. They believe that they are the chosen ones and that everyone else, be they Muslims or Christians, are worthless animals and they can be killed without regrets. They really believe that, it is part of their religion so they don't have any regrets killing us. Don't believe me? Look up the Talmud. No other religion I have heard of and studied says anything like that.
