Bullets 'n' Babes

I just picked up a PS2 on ebay - 2 controllers, memory card and console for £15 delivered... figured at that price, why not!! Now just need to get a few decent games for it:

So here are my questions - what games are recommended?

What is the best:
*fighting game?
*footie game?
*general fun arcadey sports game?
*general fun arcadey shooting violent game?
*racing game? (Is there a wipeout game on the PS2? Remeber I loved it on the PS1)
*more long term game?
* any other type of game?
There are 5 or so Dynasty Warriors games available. I played one years and years ago and liked it. Do they get better as the series went on, or is there one that is particularly better than another?

Best footy game is probably PES5, although I believe PES 6 was also still very good on PS2 (better than the next-gen version as far as gameplay goes), but I never played it so you'd have to check some PES messageboards or something.

Fun arcadey sports game is NBA Street V3.

Why not just check out IGN and check out every game that scored a 8-9 or higher!?

I imagine there will be loads of them, and I'd rather have a bit more of a focused search at the moment!!
