OMG! This could be amazing.
Predator is such a classic (one of Arnie's best) but it's always amazed me after 4 Alien films they stopped at 2 Predators and Predator 2 frankly is rubbish, as is AVP (I didn't bother with AVP2).
Robert Rodriguez writing is a good thing but an unknown director is worrying (Nimród Antal, who?). They've definitely done the right thing by putting it back in the jungle and the new Predators look cool.

Predator 2 is good.why exactly is it "frankly rubbish"? it's a solid follow-up imo.As for the director of this new one,he made Vacancy which was an ok thriller and Armored which i haven't seen.he's not exactly unknown.

Everyone in the world likes Predator 2.
He is a very solid director, just needs a superb film/idea to play with.

No they don't. It's a love or hate it film. It's split down the middle. Unlike Predator, which everyone likes.

Good for you, obviously I disagree. It's throw away 80s action and Danny Glover was so wrong for the role. It's a good actor but for a Predator film? Come on. We're supposed to believe he's able to stop the Predator? Please. Anyway, like I said. It's a love it or hate it film.

Whatever! You get my point. Many films released in 1990-1992 etc.. have the same feel as an 80s move.
Besides we're talking about Predators. Who else is looking forward to it?

This movie looks awesome. Predator 2 was just ok. AVP-R was terrible.

Pretty lame trailer, hopefully mispresents the movie. I would have expected heavier action, considering the characters are soldiers armed to the teeth. But let's not judge the film right yet. Could possibly work on different levels.
