MSP quits over "attractive girl" remark

This seems OTT - I know this guy has to be professional as an MP but still.

I mean all he said was the girl was attractive, good looking etc?! If I was the girl I'd be flattered to be called attractive.
Seems to be going to far to resign over it. Maybe it was because he said "Put in a good word for her" at the end and this could be seen as doing it BECAUSE he thought she was attractive. Also using the word dusky was suspect :icon_suspect:

He resigned over an off the cuff remark, which wasn't even insulting! WTF!

That seems stupid to me - all he said was (AFAIK) she was attractive! Jeez (!) :D

I think the controversy was it turned out he was talking to the work experience girl or something, but he didnt know she was still at school (I think!!!)

So she was under age, big deal. He didn't know she was still in school and all he said was she was attractive.
