I cannot see a thread for this.
Colin Firth May Be Oldboy's Villain:

Interesting choice. Colin Firth has played villains well before and Spike Lee is a good director. I cannot see it being as good as the original. It mostly depends on how faithful they are and whether bring any new ideas to the table, like they did with Departed.
I wonder if they've got the balls to keep the originals twist. There's no way it will have Josh Brolin cutting his tongue off, that's much more Korean than it is American.

I saw this at another forum and laughed so hard because I thought it was a parody poster. Then I discover it's actually official artwork. Is the film supposed to be a comedy?

It looks alright but totally pointless. It looks like a scene for scene remake. Possibly more violent though.

The only thing that might make this film worth worthwhile is Elizabeth Olsen. I'm totally not gonna bother with it until it's a $1 DVD rental. Chan-wook Park's original is a masterpiece.

I remember when Hancock (2008) came out and one Finnish critic wrote
"a piece of shit movie no one needs to see" and they actually put that into the film's advertisement. Finnish humour / self irony at its best

I ended up watching this remake movie, and it was worse than I expected it to be. To me, it seemed like a totally thrown together mess directed with no passion whatsoever. Well... I understand Spike Lee was simply hired by Hollywood to direct it, like some clerk working a store as a day job. But, it shows that nobody gave a shit about this project when making it, because it really is a lazy mess lacking pretty much everything.
