Have you got any HKL's for trade? I've got Duel To The Death, but I hate it.

How does the German Touch of Zen compare to the Tai Seng DVD? I never knew there was one

Re: Markgway's Original DVD/BD Wants List
Interesting. I havent seen it for sale anywhere, I think the French (?) one is on Amazon.de
Edit: My bad I didnt search with the German title.
I'll take a punt on it for 30 Euros
http://www.amazon.de/Ein-Hauch-von-Zen- ... 814&sr=1-1
Edit: If those specs are correct, 1.77/1 is the wrong ratio.
Maybe this is correct: http://www.amazon.de/Ein-Hauch-Von-Zen- ... =pd_cp_d_1

Amazon specs are frequently incorrect.Edit: If those specs are correct, 1.77/1 is the wrong ratio.
You want to check for proper reviews.
To the best of my knowledge the DE disc is 2.35 anamorphic and progressive PAL.

Re: Markgway's Original DVD/BD Wants List
OK, thanks It's just there seem to be 2 versions of the DE disc (one with the big FSK rating on, one without), thats why I was confused. The one WITH says 2.35/1 and is more expensive.

Re: Markgway's Original DVD/BD Wants List
OK. Seems that the film was issued twice on DVD in Germany. Same version/specs but different distributors. Either one should in theory be fine. I guess the cheaper one was/is a budget reissue?
The French DVD is apparently the same except it's interlaced for some reason.
Again, I don't have any of these, so....

Thanks I just ordered the Savoy DVD so I'll let you know
As for the Heroic Trio double pack, I wish there was just a standalone release for the first film, I didnt like Executioners as much. It was just too dark for it's own good - I remember the 1st one being lots of fun however

Hey,
I just noticed you listed the HK BD of House of Flying Daggers in your wants - I have the French one (I think) I was wondering why the HK one is better?

I prefer HEROIC also, but both films were shot back-to-back and work as a pair.As for the Heroic Trio double pack, I wish there was just a standalone release for the first film, I didnt like Executioners as much. I'm not sure if it is better as such.grim_tales wrote:Hey,

Here's a limited cap comparison.
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p ... stcount=28
Any difference is negligible.
Unusual for a French BD of a Chinese film to contain full English subs.
