What happened to the Music forum?

Anyway just noticed that Perfume's new album, Level 3, is out in 2-3 days. My body is ready for the return of Lord Nakata and Nocchi's long legs.

EDIT: OH DA-YUM, Capsule have an album out this month as well? Double the Nakata goodness!

Yeah, but we rarely posted in it.

i've been to a few concerts with my friend in the last 18 months or so...very mainstream stuff.. Saw Paul McCartney at Liverpool Arena, saw Squeeze, saw Glen Tiibrook from Squeeze a couple of times and most recently saw OMD at the Liverpool Echo....oh and went with the missus to see Donny & Marie Osmond

Would love to see a legend like Macca in concert.

...and miss out on hearing The Beatles' really, really good stuff from 1965-68, etc live in concert? While My Guitar Gently Weeps is my favourite Beatles song. Also I'd consider his later career stuff like Wings' Band on the Run and Live and Let Die just as essential.

The Beatles peaked in 1964... but, yeah, there were good songs after that (as well as a lot of drugged-out, incoherent rubbish!). Never a fan of Wings or Paul's solo stuff (save the odd tune).

McCartney's concert was fantastic...don't know whether he made a special effort but he was on stage for nearly 4 hours,no support and no break...his ego is huge but he's got the history to back it up.His Live & Let Die was brilliant as was most of his performance

That piece still touches me so much... I admit, I even cry sometimes when I hear it.

And, those gifted youngsters... I look at those teenage girls, and I can see the future in their eyes. It's funny... When I was a teenager myself, a few years ago, I was too "dark" and bitter to just stop and marvel at the "simple" wonders of life. Some people did, though... I wish I was more like them, now that I think back. I guess I just didn't believe in it, back then, which didn't really allowed me to tune in to it. But, as I observe kids today, I am in awe of their abilities and ambitions for the future. Man, I was just way too cynical, when I was a teenager... But, I look at those gifted kids, and it's like they rememdy a polluted lifestream with their magic. This girl is, for sure.

Man, there are so many Asians attending the NEC. Asians love the European Classical Music, it seems. They use their Asian discipline when it comes to the strict, ultra rigorous practice routines, and perform incredibly well. I'm glad to see them shine!
