What happened to the Music forum?
Anyway just noticed that Perfume's new album, Level 3, is out in 2-3 days. My body is ready for the return of Lord Nakata and Nocchi's long legs.
EDIT: OH DA-YUM, Capsule have an album out this month as well? Double the Nakata goodness!

...and miss out on hearing The Beatles' really, really good stuff from 1965-68, etc live in concert? While My Guitar Gently Weeps is my favourite Beatles song. Also I'd consider his later career stuff like Wings' Band on the Run and Live and Let Die just as essential.

The Beatles peaked in 1964... but, yeah, there were good songs after that (as well as a lot of drugged-out, incoherent rubbish!). Never a fan of Wings or Paul's solo stuff (save the odd tune).

McCartney's concert was fantastic...don't know whether he made a special effort but he was on stage for nearly 4 hours,no support and no break...his ego is huge but he's got the history to back it up.His Live & Let Die was brilliant as was most of his performance

For all the hipsters out there.
Cibo Matto on TV, a recently newly uploaded clip from 1997:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmGyACG5K0E that tune is actually called 'Birthday Cake', by the way...
Yuka and Miho just makes me go

everything I watch a video with them, past or present... And, I admit, it's not the best tune they've done... But, what the hell... Relax a little, lighten up, and enjoy yourselves...
This also reminds me that I am wasting my youth watching all this stuff recorded decades ago - watching other peoples' flourishing years, when I should be stepping out of my bubble and looking for my own blossoming love, now that I am still in my early 20's and not a bearded, fat, middle-aged creepy bastard.
Cibo Matto, 16 years later, full performance with good sound:

And, make sure to check out Yuko Araki's (the drummer) duo, Mi-Gu:

She's a cute soul, cleverly talented and a perky little girl, playing drums and singing about how much she hates spiders.

Been listening to this a lot:
Named after a family of parasitic wasp, this is the official soundtrack to "Ichneumonidae," the forthcoming dance film choreographed and performed by Michelle Morinaga, and directed by Brian Gonzalez (TAXIPLASM)
http://icelevelmusic.bandcamp.com/album ... soundtrack
Ichneumonidae (pronounced Ick-noo-MON-eh-dee) is a new collaborative music and Butoh dance piece by Toby Driver and Michelle Morinaga, featuring the virtuosic violin work of Timba Harris. Named after a horrifying family of parasitic wasps, Ichneumonidae explores the astounding psyche of parasites, touching on dualities of survival and self-destruction, the perilous tensions of coexistence, and the subtle horrors of the colonized body.

Lily Tsai playing the 'Harvest Fishermen's Song':

That piece still touches me so much... I admit, I even cry sometimes when I hear it.
And, those gifted youngsters... I look at those teenage girls, and I can see the future in their eyes. It's funny... When I was a teenager myself, a few years ago, I was too "dark" and bitter to just stop and marvel at the "simple" wonders of life. Some people did, though... I wish I was more like them, now that I think back. I guess I just didn't believe in it, back then, which didn't really allowed me to tune in to it. But, as I observe kids today, I am in awe of their abilities and ambitions for the future. Man, I was just way too cynical, when I was a teenager... But, I look at those gifted kids, and it's like they rememdy a polluted lifestream with their magic. This girl is, for sure.

Love it!
Man, there are so many Asians attending the NEC. Asians love the European Classical Music, it seems. They use their Asian discipline when it comes to the strict, ultra rigorous practice routines, and perform incredibly well. I'm glad to see them shine!
