Its not bare bones. The films discs have their own extras. Its just missing the "extras discs" from the 6 disc set (I think).

My Dad got an email regarding an in-store HMV clearance sale. Only title of interest was THE EXPENDABLES 2 (steelbook BD/DVD) for £5.99. Went to my local store and they didn't have the bugger at all! What a load of pants! Maybe other HMVs (still) have it, if you guys are interested? I'll pick up the regular edition when it dips about same.

That's basically what it is, there are loads of titles in that sale better than Sudden Death - although it is a decent film, it's just that there are some cracking titles in that sale & Sudden Death is really just a good B-movie.

Miller's Crossing is one of my all-time faves & probably the best thing the Coen bros will ever produce. You've also got titles like The Fly, The Big Lebowski, Casino, Wild at Heart, Take Shelter, Lost Highway, Citizen Kane, The Blues Brothers, Speed, Tremors, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Harvey, An American Werewolf In London , Videodrome, Carlito's Way, King Kong (original), The Thing, The French Connection, Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, Cape Fear (original), The Frighteners. And all that on top of the titles salty also listed! This is a great, great sale if you don't already own most of these titles.

My local HMV are selling Miller's Crossing (BD) for £4.99.

Good film, but like most of the Coen Bros' output, too cold and smug for my liking.

@ Shing and Sam, thanks :)
Interested in checking out (among others) French Connection (is that the remastered/fixed version?), The Fly, Casino, Road to Perdition. I'd like to see Kane but I've read the transfer on the UK BD is very bad compared to the US one.

HMV are selling a whole bunch of Fox catalogue titles in-store for £4.99.
The Fly and Speed included.
Didn't see The French Connection, but stock varies.

The problem when I watch a Coen movie is that I get this impression of these guys smirking and patting each other on the back. I can appreciate the quality of their work, just too often I tend not to 'like' it. They're not my type of filmmaker.
