This is a comparison between the 2003 Japanese Renewal End of Eva and the 2019 Blu-ray boxset; the stand alone version, disc #7. "BD" uses the m2ts streams for archiving, while DVD uses its physical disc. Image is like any other, but if you have the HD version already, repurchasing may be unnecessary. I'm glad I made 3 backups, since it stills looks good. But the Renewal discs are pinnacles of DVD, and should have special value to those that pay the premium to import their Japanese animation. Series is also one of the earliest HD titles released when compared to other Japanese animation. Audio is fine, despite my previous text.
