Rather unusually this was originally to be a 12A in the UK but Disney actually asked it to be re-checked (as they didn't think 12A was enough) and upon this the BBFC decided 15 was more appropriate.

Has that ever happened before? Where a company actually asks for a film to get a higher rating? See here:

I guess Disney wanted this to appeal to an adult audience and give it a more serious look by upping the rating.
