Very few. I've been running 64bit XP for about a year now and it's rock solid, ~90% of programs run on it, I wouldn't go back to a 32bit OS for my primary activities.

Vista x64 has much much better support, as XP x64 wasn't released to public retail. Vista x64 was the more problematic of the flavours of Vista at the time of launch, but A LOT has changed in the past year, x64 Vista support is pretty much equal to the 32bit version now.

If you any have problems, remember that the internet is there for help.

Oh yeah, research the shop that you're buying from. I'd only ever buy my hardware from a place with a reputation for quality after-sales customer service.

I bought it from medion.nl, which is a pretty good brand which offers cheap but good quality PC's I believe. I could be wrong, but from what I've heard so far, many people are pretty positive about it.

I just received the pc but I havent opened the box yet. Still busy with copying all the important files and media and programs etc, to my external HD, and I'll probably forget half...

I'll probably have the new PC up and running late in the afternoon, and might go for a clean install first, to get rid of all the pre-installed BS etc, after which I'll install all the programs I need to have installed, like Adobe CS3, Painter, and all the other programs I couldnt use lately cause they have become too demanding for my current (old) system.

One new PC, Intel quadcore with 4gb of ram and 8800GT videocard.
Havent tried it yet, so dont know yet if it actually works and delivers...

You mean Ryu Ga Gotoku? That got English subs?

I really enjoyed the game, would be keen to see the movie. Looks like a pretty damn faithful adaptation from the looks of the trailer.

One time I sniped the crew of a patroling jeep, hopped into it and drove full speed ahead into another patrolling jeep - leaping out of the cab just in time to watch the fireworks. The explosion even took out the nearby unaware soldiers whom were sitting around chatting.

lol, just when gave referring to japanese films with their original titles because I was told it's too confusing

But yeah, Ryu ga gotoku and with english subs (according to pre-order specs)

I saw the movie before I played the game but it's enjoyable as a movie, and terrific as a video game adaptation. It's very faithful to the game, yet it's not a direct copy. The visual looks is also awesome, I don't think Tokyo has ever looked as colourful before.

Thanks man, I will probably do that this evening, and maybe download the demo in the weekend.

Bad news first, it's 32 bits Vista, so now I have to find out how to change that for 64 bits Vista. Bastards.

Also, I'm supposed to have wireless in my pc, so I should be able to connect to my wireless modem/wanadoo-livebox, but it doesnt. So i'm now once again still connected through cable. Bastards.

Also, the windows popping up for some of the small stuff is already starting to annoy me a bit, especially cause ofcourse I'm installing stuff etc. Bastards.

Otherwise, it seems nice and quiet.
