An excellent guess, but no. However, this film does star one of the same actors.

Eros?
@68, the problem is that when the wrong person has to post a cap, that person can't score on that round. For random players (who just pop up every now and then to throw a guess) it doesn't matter, but to someone who's really trying to play this and wants to see if he/she can beat other players with skill and brains it's frustrating.
The rules have been set for this game - at least in my opinion - so that it would be possible to really play this game, instead of just guessing and fooling around (which would just plain boring imo). Just like in "real life". You play games by the rules because that's what makes it challenging, rewarding and fun.

I see your frustration, but I'm that "wrong person" who is posting the cap knowing I won't be able to guess this round. If you want a real challenge, I don't really think this game is the place for it, Hung. But if you guys are that serious about this game, hey, let the powers that be decide.HungFist wrote:@68, the problem is that when the wrong person has to post a cap, that person can't score on that round.
All wrong guesses so far. New cap coming up in a few minutes.

In that case why should Shing be working his ass off to keep track of the points, if it doesn't even matter who gets the points?the68monkey wrote:I see your frustration, but I'm that "wrong person" who is posting the cap knowing I won't be able to guess this round. Shing does it on a voluntary basis.HungFist wrote:In that case why should Shing be working his ass off to keep track of the points, if it doesn't even matter who gets the points?the68monkey wrote:I see your frustration, but I'm that "wrong person" who is posting the cap knowing I won't be able to guess this round. Actually, when he decided to quit as gamekeeper, Tom sent a fake letter bomb to my house warning the next one would be real if I didn't take over all duties running the game for the forseeable future.thelostdragon wrote:Shing does it on a voluntary basis.
Ok, what we'll do is introduce a rule where I will take over and post a screengrab myself is someone wins a round and doesn't post a screengrab within, say just over 24hrs of winning. That sound fair?

Yeah, Tigercage got it. It's Lust, Caution.

As much as I love Ang Lee's films (Eat Drink Man Woman is one of my all-time favorite films), I thought Lust, Caution was waaaaay too long. I liked it, but I left it unclear as to what Lee was trying to say about the heroine. Great Shanghai period feel to the film, though. Guess I can't say more without spoiling. Still, it's a very good film. Oh, and those rough sex scenes don't come until rather far into the film, if that's what you're interested in knowing.degeneration wrote:Speaking of Lust, Caution... just seen some screen grabs from it and while I'd heard about the sex scenes being explicit, I wasn't quite expecting to see Tony Leung's balls!
Film any good?

Very generous of you, Shingster.
Some members have stated concern about that cute ass of yours being worked too hard by being gamekeeper here, so do let us know if it gets to be too much.

It's an arduos ordeal, but I intend to struggle through it!the68monkey wrote:Very generous of you, Shingster. Some members have stated concern about that cute ass of yours being worked too hard by being gamekeeper here, so do let us know if it gets to be too much.
I don't see the point meself, I suppose at the start of the next game we could introduce a rule where you have to say so if you post a cap not in the OAR.EvaUnit02 wrote:Please make "post caps in the film's OAR" a rule too and be done with it.

And they wonder why I left the game...
The only reason why I invented DVD Mystère was so we could have fun (discovering new films, browsing through filmographies, etc...), but some people have clearly missed the point.
It's a game, people. It's something you play, not something you discuss.

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
