Cause when it came out, many reviews said it was GOOD.

I should have gone with my instinct, cause I always felt it looked like absolute crap, but a store in my girlfriend's town had it on sale for 5 euro, so I asked her to pick me up a copy, and her mom paid for it as a gift to me...

But yeah, awfull awfull movie. Too many directors in Hollywood are just clueless idiots, yet somehow they got lucky and are now making movies.

...and sometimes by a fluke bad directors make good movies. Eg Lightning only ever struck once for Tobe Hooper.

Good question.

I think Superman Returns is decent. The plot is a bit flaky but it's overall decent, better than Superman 3 and 4 anyway. It (kind of) connects well to Superman 1 and 2.

It's better than Spider-man and Spider-man 2, now those are overrated :D. I cannot even be bothered to see Part 3.

Superman Returns SUCKS BIGGGGGGGgggggggggggggggggtime. It isnt even worth a discussion, and certainly not here in this thread, but damn, it sucks and EVERYTHING is wrong with it.
The cast and director should be shot in the face for the travesty that is Superman Returns.

And yeah, Kevin Spacey was the connection... :D

Tough :D

The CGI (for once) in places is marvellous. Hearing the Superman theme tune at the cinema was so much fun.

What is it with some members and wanting to shoot people in the face? :|

Goodfellas! 3 points for me! :D

The movie sucked big time. The CGI wasnt the problem, but everything else was.
