I've put up Speed and Tomb Raider for sale on Amazon because I'm bored of them.

How much do Amazon charge? Is it any better than eBay or Play? I have a few I cannot shift. Thanks.

I presume Speed is the UK BD?

I think the Amazon fee is on a sliding scale depending on how much you put the price as. I usually use Amazon for selling stuff, I just find it less cluttered than eBay I guess.

Yeah it's the UK BD.

Thanks. eBay is a bit cluttered and a bit expensive but you usually make your money back then some.

I'll give Amazon ago if eBay doesn't work out for my re-listed items. I'm just giving Asian Bay ago now for the 4 Asian DVDs I'm selling.

Thanks Tigercage.

I thought both Jesse James and No Country for Old Men were decent but not keepers (7 out of 10 jobs). I will probably re-watch Jesse James at some point though.

I hear Hitman is rubbish, no?

Is anyone else selling any of the HD-DVDs to buy the BD version?

I've just ordered Goodfellas BD and have put my HD-DVD on eBay. It's only one title but start as I mean to go on!

I'll likely replace Batman Begins for the BD when that comes and may switch my "Good Night, And Good Luck" HD-DVD Combo for the BD after I've seen that too (I want to see if I like it first). I'm not switching my Dreamgirls HD-DVD to the BD though as the HD-DVD DD Plus is Full-rate (1.5mbps) vs. the DD5.1 on the BD which is only Half-rate (640Kbps).

I only have 4 Warner HD-DVDs so it's easy enough to do. I probably won't switch my Universal HD-DVDs though, unless I only end up supporting BD.

Why do you say that? I've bought most of them now like you are.

The only two I paid a premium for where:

An American Werewolf in London
Good Night, And Good Luck

As both are Combos and I picked them up back in 2006 when Combos still cost a fortune. The rest I paid reasonable prices for.

Wait a second...
Some of you guys are buying HD discs even though you haven't got the players?
Where's the logic in that?

What about faulty batches?
Aren't you worried about things like the POTC framing issue, the missing subtitles on the Stargate BD or the crappy transfer on the first 5th Element release?

You're buying loads of discs and you don't even know if they work.

It's the logic of impatience :D

I wouldn't call what I've bought "loads of discs" as such. If I end up getting a BD Player I'll just have to lump it and sell my HD-DVDs. You usually hear about duff discs from other sources without having to have seen it yourself.

Yep, my OldBoy is the US BD.

Re: POTC 2 & 3:
My girlfriend likes them both.
If she hadn't been here when I unwrapped the player, I would've thrown the discs away.
But since she knows I have them, there isn't much I can do about it. :D

Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 & 3 (RB-FR).
OldBoy (R0-US).
The Fifth Element (R0-US).
The Island (RB-FR).
Curse of the Golden Flower (RB-FR).

I hope my COTGF disc is fine.
It's nearly unplayable on my PC (big A/V sync issues). :?
EDIT: Nope, it's fucked. Damn it.
