As to Lennon it's a well known fact the CIA were worried about him. I didn't say he directly helped to bring an end to the American participation. Just people like him (Ali too), along with the millions of American's who wanted out caused the government eventually to bring an end to the "American participation".

I was wrong when I said bring an end to the war as that still went on when the American's left. Rather oddly most Vietnamese now seem to entirely blame Americans for the war, when in fact the Americans joined a civil war that had already started, and obviously made it much worse.
