Liverpool win in Europe.. again

Post by grim_tales »

Excellent game, but what a horrible way to lose for Arsenal :( I can't believe it, we're in a position to go through (Ade 2-2) and then we give away a penalty! FFS
Credit to 'Pool though, they played great, it was a great game and Benitez knows how to play the CL :)

Great game, shitty outcome....

First of all, if tonights foul on babel was a penalty (I have my doubts), than surely last week's foul on Hleb was a penalty. Our national shame of a referee Peter Vink fucked up big time last week. He should be shot in the face multiple times over, and once the gun is empty, the gun should be smacked into his face multiple times.

Arsenal were the better side for me, yet a bit unlucky in the finishing, and Liverpool were a bit luckier, and finished pretty much every chance they had, including a beautiful header by Hyypia.

Great run by Walcott by the way. And Van Persie was fucking useless tonight. I cant even remembering him getting a single touch.

Unlucky Arsenal, but I cant say Liverpool went through undeserved. Both teams fought hard and long, and both teams would have deserved the win TBH. It was just a great match, and tbh it's slightly ruined by last week's fuck-up, and tonights easy given penalty.

Walcott was awesome, and if that had been the winning goal that Ade had scored, arguably that would have been a pivotal career moment.
Whether it was a penalty or not, we shouldnt have been so stupid in the first place! Although 2 incidents last week (on Hleb/Fabregas) were def. penalties.
But still a great game :)

I'm right. They're wrong.

I support neither team, didn't care who won, thus have no bias.

Penalty my arse.

I think it was a penalty, but we should of had a penalty in the 1st leg (Kuyt's foul on Hleb) that was worse than that one. :)

yep, arsenal's was a definite penalty last week but 2 wrongs don't make a right.it was hardly Liverpool's fault the referee didn't give it last week.given Arsenal led in the tie 3 times and couldn't hold on,i still think even if you'd got and scored last week's penalty we'd have battled through :)

I didnt think it was a penalty. Babel is a strong big guy, and he was hardly touched. He was pulled a little by the hand, by that was before he entered the box, so even if THAT was the foul, than it should have been given outside.
He didnt really get touched yet he fell very easily. I thought way too easy. It wasnt a penalty to me.

Some players just go down at the slightest touch, which to me, is wrong.

If an opponent of mine went down like that, and won a penalty, then I'd kick him out of the game minutes later. I hate divers.

You could be right Sam, it was our fault for switching off after celebrating, and our defence being shit :) I thought 2-2 would end it.
Good luck against Chelski :)

Yeah, that was a real shame. Kuyt played a really good game, Torres wasnt that good last night, Chelsea didnt play well either, and Liverpool was just class, but very unlucky in the end. Ah well, it will make next week's game even more interesting.

Ow yeah, Drogba was also complete shite. They should just put Kalou up front, together with Anelka.

I liked Clive Tydsley's comment when he said something about Drogba like "He's a great player but often goes down the most easily in the Northern Hemisphere" :D

Yeah Drogba is a biatch, which is why I never like him. He has all the qualities of a great player, except personality.

He's just a whining bitch with a poof haircut and a face like a sick dog.
