Plot summary

THE FLOCK is the story of hyper-vigilant federal agent (Gere) who, while training his young female replacement (Danes), must track down a missing girl whom he is convinced is connected to a paroled sex offender he's investigating. Working against the clock they unravel the twisted details to track the potential killer.

I remember impact magazine talking about this, apparently it was pushed back alot as the studio just didn't think it was very good, anyway comes out in the US

I like Andrew Lau, but why would he want to cast Richard Gere!? That dude is an idiot. I dont think many people like him as an actor. Same goes for Danes btw.
They both have a pretty high 'annoying' factor about them.

Gere was good in Red Corner and Danes is a decent enough actress whose career has never really caught fire. I'll reserve judgement on Lavigne.

It has Avril as well. Wow... didnt know that, but now that I do know that, I can already state with 99% sureness that I will never watch this movie. Ever.

Yeah, and he was also pretty good in Internal Affairs, but for every decent role he portrays, there are 5-10 roles where he irritates me...

That coupled with the fact that Danes has the same problem (OK actress, while very annoying at times) plus Avril (sounds like something you throw into a washer...) has annoyed me from the first time I've seen her, means I'm not even gonna bother with giving it a fair chance :D

What makes Richard Gere an idiot? The fact that you don't like him as an actor, lol? I really liked his performance in "Primal Fear", although he was outshined by Norton.

Richard Gere does that squinty eyed exsasperated look in most of his films.

His latest film (The Hoax) has been getting good reviews. Agreed though he's not much of an actor.

Not counting The Flock, his "latest" film is The Hunting Party, and it's pretty good too. From the director of The Matador.
