Well... yeah, I already figured that out. I just mean it sucks cause you can never be sure the other players arent 'cheating', especially as it's so very very easy to cheat.degeneration wrote:Well, don't. Then it won't suck.Yi-Long wrote:Black Rain...
this game sucks, cause you can just use google to find the quote...
If I don't know the quote, I don't guess. If i think i do, I guess. Leave google out of it.
if you don't use it, it won't suck.
Not your fault btw, Grim. The basic idea is good, and at CityonFire it ran a pretty long time (few years), but it's just too easy to cheat with it.
It would be a nice game WITHOUT the internet, but with google at your disposal, plus IMDB etc... it's just too easy to cheat...
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

We should have a "Guess the Asian movie subtitle quote" game.
Makes it much harder to cheat.
We could put clues like "country of origin and year of release" to help narrow the list down, but at least people shouldn't be able to find the quote on Google.

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

No, English language films only. Too much trouble with foreign language films, different subtitle translations, you Euro guys with discs subbed in your native tongue, fansubs, etc.tom2681 wrote:We should have a "Guess the Asian movie subtitle quote" game.

Doubt all you want. I'm sure it'd work.
With english language films only, this game has no future IMO.
EDIT:
OK, so Eva isn't interested.
Does anybody think that this could work? I'd sure like to try it.
I wanna play "Asian Subtitle Mystère".
