I missed out on loads of PSX games because of FFVII and GTA which pretty much took up all my time. Lately I've been revisiting some tiltes on the PS3 or emulators but I really don't have the time to sit down at home and play them. So I was thinking about getting a PSP so I can pick up and play anywhere.
I'd just generally like to know what anyone that has one thinks about it, in particular how it is for emulating PSX titles - any major glitches, issues with multi-disc titles etc. And if you know about the particualrs such as which specific model to get that's easy to mod or has a better screen it'd be helpful to hear it.
Thanks.
Any PSP owners?

Hey, I owned an original one for a while, then sold it because I was in great need of money, then later I bought one of the new Slim ones, which I still have and use all the time. I used to play emulated MegaDrive games on my old PSP, but now I just update my firmware to the latest version all the time.
The Slim ones are better than the originals, but I don't know about hacking them and stuff, plenty of sites and forums on it though.

I was on the bus today "playing" Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, recruiting soldiers for my army.
This is a very creative idea:- MGS:PO uses the PSP's wifi capabilities to scan for wifi access points. Once it receives a wifi signal of an appropriate strength (which you can boost via button mashing), it generates a unique soldier from access point's MAC address.
On the short 20 min bus ride home, I managed to capture 12 recruits.
I've also been experimenting with the Remote Play feature, that let's you remotely access the PS3's GUI and stream media (and a small handful of games) off of it.
I can remotely switch my PS3 on and off from another part of the house. It's laggy as sin for me though, I pretty only use it to queue downloads off of the PSN store, check their statues and occasionally stream music from my PC via the PS3.

I tried playing Bionic Commando Rearmed on my PSP using Remote Play, it was really laggy, even with 100% signal strength. I dunno about your bee pollinating game, but with a title like BCR where exact timing is vital, it's pointless.gasteropod wrote:I tried playing Pixeljunk Eden on my PSP using Remote Play, was pretty amazing that it worked really.
