How come no one seems to post apart from the regulars?

We have 117 members, yet how many of them actually contribute? Cooey last posted in May, Bruce last posted in February (crikey) and whats happened to Laevolus, Rascalf and Tigger, and a few others?

Something to think about. The first 4 or so pages of posters on the members list have done squat.

Of course you cant force people to join/post. Christ, on some boards it STILL sounds as if people talk of BnB and want it how it was (its doing fine IMO).

Those people don't want to come here because there aren't enough people here.

In France we call this a "vicious circle".

I remember a time where the last thread on page 1 was posted 2 hours ago.
Now the last thread was posted on June 24th (3 weeks ago).

But I'll keep posting even when I'm the last member of this board. 8)

EDIT: Who would have thought that one day I'd be among the top ten posters on a msg board ?

Yes you're right Tom. Brad and I think people on other boards are still upset BnB isnt how it was (in their eyes) but strangely they dont seem prepared to come back and make it that way.. wierd.

"Posting freak" has now become "Shuren".
My "class" is now "Hui".
Mark's is "Juza".

I'll be damned if I know what that stuff means !

i am merely testing out the abilities of this forum... the new poster titles (for i think 100, 250, 500, 750 and 1000 posts respectively) come from the original Japanese Fist of the North Star tv series...

on the subject of posting ranks we need to come up with some fun ones as a group, something that relates well to Asian cinema... any ideas??? the mail monkey will manifest its messages (there's still one no one seems to have spotted

) over the weekend then return back to normal.

ive also re written all the meta tags as I discovered the phpnn2 features weren't working properly in that respect, gopefully we should start appearing more on google at some point in a week or two.

Fianlly its worth noting I'm ill at the moment yet I have to get up for work in 2.5 hours time. Given I'm an attention whore any sympathy would be gratefully recieved

How about Asian actors and actresses?

Jackie Chan would have to be at the top. No other Asian Martial Arts actor has done more for Asian cinema, Bruce Lee second and after that who knows.

well we will start appearing in google for the first time in a week or two so we'll see whether that has any effect. it would indeed be great to have a larger userbase but still, i'm finding it most enjoyable even in its present state, friendly atmosphere, good humour, plus i quietly learning more and more about asian cinema by reading many of the dvd threads

famous actors/ actresses sound good, any further suggestions of suitable people??
