Right, so I said the ladies were going as Angels and Blokes Devils. Well it turned out rather hilariously that the barmen had the same mask as me and even more surreal later on, a group of half a dozen people turned up also wearing the same mask

.

It was a rather cool mask though. We ended up getting in about 3am. I'll have photos online soon.

Nah I didn't get any sexytime, I recall a hot girl coming onto me at one point but I was so wasted I must have just wandered back to the dancefloor and forgot about her hahaha.

Overrated = Yes
Still a good excuse as any for a good night = Equally so.

Strangers tend to also be nicer too. I wouldn't normally walk up to complete strangers so readily and wish them good fortune but on New Year everyone does it. Everyone is generally in a really happy mood, there's a lot less chance of seeing a fight.

It is what you make of it, there's nothing wrong with getting a group of close friends together and having a good time. Why hold back to have fun?

That reminds me. My mate's wife set me up with this woman. She looked nearly 40, nothing wrong with that per say but she wasn't especially attractive.

I danced with her for all of 10 seconds before quickly disappearing. I'll be honest, she scared me a little

. She was desperate to find a bloke, not attractive. After I shot through, she was quickly on to the next poor sod.

I've told my mate's wife to next time pick someone I might actually fancy.

Sober. I didn't drink much, but then it takes a lot for me to begin feeling tipsy. More than I would physically be able to consume without feeling bloated or sick.

Because, as usual, you're once again taking something and completely blowing it up, making something out of nothing.

It was just a crack at women, not your female friends in particular, cause I'm sure they are 'the exception(!)' (-sigh-), not being 'angels'.

It's very simple: they put on a costume to exaggerate how 'good' and decent and pure they are (angels), and I make the bitter response insinuating they are far from pure and innocent (most women aren't angels, except in Brad's dreamworld where every girl is a virgin and has a dick).

It's a fucking joke, no harm intended, and as I don't know any of your friends, it also was far from personal

(and if I wanted to make a personal joke about your friends, I could, purely based on them being friends with you, but I aint interested in making such mean-spirited jokes)
