Sega MegaDrive Ultimate Collection

Post by gasteropod »

This looks great, shame it doesn't contain Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, and Gunstar Heroes :(

But Dynamite Headdy rules! Ristar Comix Zone, and Vectorman are also great (amongst all the obvious ones).

It's 720p and has trophies too.

I'm not excited, but that's probably because many of these games are already on earlier Genesis collections, plus there isnt a Revenge of Shinobi, again Decap Attack instead of the original magical Flying Turbo Hat Adventures, and as Gassy mentioned, it misses the quality 3rd party titles.

Also, I want Sonic CD.

Remade in HD my arse. These are just emulated versions of the Mega Drive originals running with your usual emulator filters like SuperEagle, 2xSAI, etc. What a crock of shit this turned out to be, don't waste your money on this garbage.

More like "Lack Backbone Entertainment", talking about totally dropping the ball after doing Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

In the early PS2 days, Sega did a series of full blown remakes under the Sega Ages imprint. I'd love to play translated versions of the Phantasy Star 1 & 2 remakes that were released only in Japan.

Some screenshots from the new collection:-

LOL! Is that a hacked ROM or something?

I went to pick this up from the postal depot today because it wouldn't fit through my door, and then realised why when I was given a large box. When I opened it, there was a bloody vinyl in there too lmao! So it turns out that I got a limited edition blue vinyl of Sega tunes because I pre-ordered the game :D

No, they just included a bunch of copyrighted characters for no reason. Obviously, Marvel and DC caught on and made them change it, so those characters were replaced by different sprites.
