Personnally I watch about 3 movies every day.
I'd try 4 but I seriously doubt that my brain could handle it.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
1 per day usually. Occasionally more than one, sometimes none, so it averages out. Last night I watched There of a Kind with Michael Hui. Tonight? Not sure yet.
for me i tend to watch one a night if im in during the week but anywhere upwards of 7 a day if im in at weekends.. so on the whole averaging thing i reckon 2
Always depends on the mood I am in. I voted for 3 - 6 a week, but sometimes when family and friends are busy, I watch a looooot. Just like last Saturday when I watched 6 films.
Tonight, I might (again) re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-watch "Hard Boiled" or a very popular film I have never seen which I should really feel ashamed about. I am talking of "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest". I bought it as part of a "Top 50" films, a collection gathered by the Süddeutsche Zeitung, a very popular German newspaper.
But I also have "Bullit" with Steve McQueen here and this Hungarian movie called "Kontol" which is supposed to be a brilliant mystery thriller about a few men who work as controllers in the subway checking people for valid tickets.
I thought it was crazy to do what I did last friday. I watched 5 movies in a row (Il Mare, The Classic, This Charming Girl, Innocent Steps and The Way Home).
LD: 6
Mordib: 7
Recon: 3
OK, so maybe I'm not a complete nutcase afterall.

I remember having a high film count... think the record was 12 in one day (!) then I began realizing how many really sucky films I watched to make that count (as there hardly is that many good movies, and I try to atleast have a 1 year span between rewatching films - unless they are just truly terrific - like my first ever John Woo ) ... anyways... as age and family came around movie watching just had to stop
Right now, there's just not enough time "alone" for Pa to watch movies (I don't count the kid's movies though). Hopefully, in some years he'll begin going out partying and I can resume my interest
I voted 1 or 2 a week. Used to be a lot more, but now that I'm back in school, plus I have a girlfriend, I often find myself either too lazy/tired at night, or just not having the time to relax for 2 hours straight for a movie, which is a real shame cause I loved watching movies. I remember 5 years orso ago when a girlfriend of mine occasionally stayed over and we'd rent movies and watch them right after eachother... with the chips and the cola and other nice food etc etc. Sadly, now that I have this girlfriend, I lost that friend, and my current girlfriend often falls asleep either before we decide to watch a movie, or during a movie...
I kinda miss those days of being unemployed, not really caring/worrying about the future, and just doing what I wanna do each and every day without any stress about good grades or giving enough attention to my girlfriend or whatever.
Might watch a movie this afternoon...
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...
I can't believe you guys watch 1-4 films a DAY. OMG don't you do anything else?
Me it's 1 a week, maybe 1 every 2 weeks. It depends how busy I am with work. If I'm off from work I'll watch more.
The thing is to watch 3 films in one day let alone more would mean I'd have to give less concentration to each film and that's not fair on the film or me. I want to give a film the best possible chance of impressing me + many films I watch are heavy.
I couldn't watch more than 1 let alone 2 "Liyla 4-Ever's" in a day.
what did you think of "This Charming Girl" and "Innocent Steps"?
I thought "This Charming Girl" was pretty boring. Not every director can be a Kitano, Kim Ki-Duk or Wong Kar-Wai.
"Innocent Steps" is a bit too melodramatic for my taste, but Moon Geun-Yeong (Cha Tae-Hyun's little sister from Lover's Concerto) saves this film from sinking with her wonderful performance.

grim_tales wrote:Was it [Fatal Beauty] any good? I might rent the DVD, I watched a bit of it but really couldnt used to Whoppi Goldberg swearing like a trooper.
It was average fodder. A female Beverly Hills Cop only not as good. Lots of violence and bad dialogue. Yeah, there's a fair amount of swearing in it. When the BBC first showed this about 15 years ago all the strong language was cut. Whoopi (or Whoppi if you like?) swears a lot in her 80's films.
D'oh my bad I mean Whoopi
Yeah, I watched about 20 mins or so and the first thing I thought of was Beverly Hills Cop. I'll rent it (Fatal Beauty/BHC) and see if I like it.
Watched a bit of Carlito's Way also before I went to sleep which was a lot better.

Romero - I'm surprised! I thought you'd be in the high numbers.
I seldom find the time to watch films, mostly because herself wants to watch something on TV right in the middle of the evening which buggers it up for me. No time to watch a film beforehand, too late afterwards.
Tonight I had to suffer You Got Mail. And how I suffered. The only consolation is the fact I watched Carlitos Way again the night before.
