James Blunt

Post by grim_tales »

Do yiu think he's talented? :)

I quite like his song "You're Beautiful". :) Its at least 2,345,672 times better than Crazy Frog, and fair play to the guy for being the first no. 1 in donkey's years that actually climbed to the top instead of just entering there in the 1st week. :D
Not sure about his falsetto on the song though :? Its' as if he cant hit the right notes at times.
Still as I said better than most of the crap that gets to No1 now a days :D

I think his albumn is very good. I don't know if its just that he can't hit the notes - I think he's just got a very unique voice...

I agree with IM.

The album is bloody outstanding. I'm listening to it almost non-stop at the moment. The first 6 tracks are flawless and could be singles.

Yes he is very talented, he's a natural!

I've downloaded 3 B-Sides, 2 of which are also very good.
Not sure about his falsetto on the song though.
What do you mean?

Listen to the high notes on "You're Beautiful".
Still a nice song though.

Yeah, like I said, I just think he's got a very unique voice...

I don't think there's anything wrong with any of the notes he sings in that song. Hell, I wish I could sing like that!

I don't think Blunt's voice is "bad" it just takes a bit of getting used to for me thats all :)

Will Young's track "No Bravery" (I think that's the title) is very good also. :) I never thought I'd say that about one of the Pop Idols. His voice is unique too, and I doff my cap to him for not singing the usual boyband rubbish (beyond the single Evergreen).

James Blunt is not a crap singer but his songs are over played on the Radio to the point where I've become fedup of listening to him.

BTW have you heard him talk? Now thats somthing else..

How about "he sounds like he's got a scorpion stuck up his ass and cock down his throat"? Is that better? :D

Yeah, that bothers me.

I better change my opinion or no one will shoot marbles with me at playtime. 8)

Now that's just silly. No one could sing with a cock down their throat.

Gargle though I'd imagine :D

He sounds very lady like. The tone of his talking voice is the same as his singing voice.

I wish all these's monotonous-voiced acoustic guitarmen would get off my radio and TV. James Bland, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Pete Murray, Ryan Cabrera....

The generalisation I've come to is that you Brits' are easily amused by simple lyric songs with simple melodies. Eg Coldplay, Katie Melua, etc. Come on, you guys invented prog rock FFS, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Yes, ever since hearing that Still Yellow debut single years ago I've wanted to strangle Chris Martin with his own depressed vocal cords.

The bugger should be marked with a warning label that says: Will make you very drowsy even in small doses. Do not listen to whilst operating heavy machinery. :D

I do like Coldplay's song that goes "Nobody said it was easy" or something like that.
