I never knew the theatrical cut was out of chronological order. Weird.

I've seen TC and DC, I saw the TC first (for A Level Film Class, back then it was the only one available), but had read about the DC, seeing the longer print was a revelation.

Well its a shame they burried the actual real full length film in the ground years ago, now that sucks.

Yeah, isn't the extra footage in the DC of inferior picture quality?

Was when I had the old Anchor Bay set, by now they may have found a quality print somehwere :D
I do remember they relased it in the UK years later, so i wonder if that was the tatty old copy AB used.

You'd think someone would've taken the initiative to take the reels and store them in their garage.

The story goes the negative reels were accidentally thrown away/destroyed.

Yes but it's still watchable. I barely noticed it really. It would be a problem for BD though.

Burried under the M1 motorway according to some who were supposed to be looking after the negatives. Mentalists.

They better have a return procedure. I've bought the current BD. It's an improvement over the DVD, which is why I upgraded but frankly it should've been better!

If not I'll just have to eBay it. Assuming this is true, of course.

If a remastered BD is true, and it is good, I'll definitely get it - though it begs the question why a film which is only 10 years old should need such a remaster....

Check out reviews. They cocked around with the transfer loads, adding EE and DVNR. None of which was needed. It's still easily better than the DVD but if it is getting remastered, it should look perfect this time.

I, on the other hand, have a shitty BD of A Tale of Two Sisters because I had pre-ordered it, not going to make that mistake again with Tartan from now on hah.

Yup pre ordering is a good excuse :D at least you were not informed before you got it. Still Tartan now I wont go near until I see evidence of goodness, like borrowing it myself haha I still need TO2S :( I need it in HD, I hope someone does the film justice soon.

There's always a chance that their US BD will be done properly, but that remains to be seen. The reason I pre-ordered was because their previous BDs had been great (especially I'm a Cyborg), ah well.

I had Thirst from Tartan (only disc I have owned so far from them I think), but honestly I was stunned at how bad the film was I sold it the same day after watching it :D what a piece of pure crap.

I have an Optimum LEON BD with the audio coming out of the wrong speakers.

I'm waiting until the Sony disc goes cheap at Amazon (ie. under $10) so I can ditch it.
