Aren't all the 5.1 mixes upmixed from 2.0 at source? Or was LEON originally a multi-channel mix? Ach, don't listen to me... ask Shingster... lol
Do you mean red/white stereo RCA leads? If so, it doesn't matter which way round technically you have them, as long as it's the same at either end. You may as well match red with red and white with white though.
I probably fucked-up...
When I plugged my Mum's DVD Player into her Hi-fi I couldn't work out why one of the speakers made an awful noise when used. To the point we had to watch Ringu from just the one speaker (which sounded weird to say the least). After the film was over, I noticed I'd plugged the other end of the audio lead into the yellow composite video connection. Doh!

Erm, left audio channel has always been white. Right channel is red. Mono only can be either black OR white.

The 5.1 mix on the Theatrical Cut sounds authentic enough to me, but the print used for the TC on the Optimum BD appears to be a French one as it has French end credits and that lists Dolby Stereo only at the end, so my guess would be that Sony created a full surround mix for the TC's theatrical release in the US (IMDB list Dolby Digital and SDDS), but the Verson Longué may have been kept Stereo only by Gaumont - this is of course assuming that there is no "true" 5.1 soundmix for the Version Longue on the other BD releases (I can only speak for the Optimum afterall)
Fuck! Why is LBS a double feature with a lesser film? Warners are cocks. LBS deserves an SE not a cheapjack flipper. It's a cult action classic but those knob jockeys refuse to do right by it.
I've never seen Last Man Standing for some bizarre reason,i'll be picking this up anyway. It can only be a huge step up from the old dvd image-wise surely?
LMS is an opinion divider; I thought it was OK. But I don't want to be forced to buy it to get LBS. Double features are fine IF they also put out seperate releases. I would seriously hope that the BD would be a big improvement on the mediocre DVD.
Arthur/Arthur 2: On The Rocks
Assassins/Demolition Man
Cannonball Run II/Hooper
Fire Down Below/On Deadly Ground
Hard to Kill/The Glimmer Man
Get Carter/The Specialist
Tightrope/Tequila Sunrise
Assassins/Demolition Man - One good, one poor
Fire Down Below/On Deadly Ground - One decent, one dodgy (I'll let you guys guess which is which...?)
Hard to Kill/The Glimmer Man - As above
Get Carter/The Specialist - One good, one piss-poor.
Did I mention that Warners are complete cocks? Maybe we'll get single film releases in Europe.
Shrek 3 is on BD because it's the newest and they were able to just port across the HD-DVD. I didn't know Shrek 2 was coming. I'm happy with my dual set DVD though (Part 1+2). Shrek 3 is drivel and as I feel they'd said enough with Shrek 2, I won't be bothering with Shrek 4. I doubt I will, even if it gets rave reviews.
